Alain was excellent. He helped us create a customized experience for our group of photographers (from Honolulu). He was patient, professional and kind throughout the process. Our group enjoyed their tour with him very much!

I never would have imagined how much fun it would be to do a photo tour of my own city. Alain made the entire experience memorable and worth repeating. We took photos from obvious spots, but also from locations that offered a unique view of Montreal. He made the photo shoot very easy and made me comfortable behind the camera. I was eager to learn and he gave me tips that were very helpful.
Regardless of your photography knowledge, Alain is the right person for a photo tour.

Très intéressé à avoir un atelier de photographie avec un professionnel j’ai choisis l’expérience avec le photographe Alain Dahan Ouahh !! Ce fut une expérience inoubliable Alain est un grand technicien et un homme de goût ,de plus sa connaissance de la ville de Montréal est hallucinante des lieux inspirants et insoupçonnés!!! Mes qualités de photographe on fait un bon de géant depuis ! Je ne peux que recommander chaleureusement cet expérience extraordinaire.

As first-time visitor to Montreal and a novice a photograph like me, you should absolutely consider booking Alain for a tour. I was there for a conference and didn't have a lot of extra time, so I had him take me to a few obvious/touristy places for convenience sake. I chose him because he was a location scout for the movies. He was able to show me some places I wouldn't have known about or how to even get to if I did. He was able to teach me a few things that I'm going to try to incorporate into my photography too. He may be a little bit pricey compared to some of the other choices you might have available, but you get what you pay for. I got some great shots, and I'm really glad I chose to work with Alain.

I did a photo tour with Alain and feel that it was very helpful. I knew that there were some good locations to shoot in Montreal, but I did not have a lot of time to spend in the city because I was visiting from out of town. I had never done a photo tour before and thought this would be a good opportunity to give it a try. I chose Alain because I wanted to see more than just the well known photo spots in the city. I was interested in getting to some places that are more unique and felt that with his background as a scout in the film industry Alain would be in a good position to make it happen.
We started off with a phone consultation and I sent some possible locations that had caught my attention. In my case, I was looking to shoot interesting architecture and possibly do some large night time panoramas. After a couple of emails back and forth we agreed on an itinerary and a date. Ultimately the shooting turned out really well. Over the course of six hours we hit a number of locations in the downtown/Old Montreal area and I did manage to get a good mix of different subjects in.
I think this tour was a worthwhile investment for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I would never have been able to get to all of these locations on my own over the course of one evening. Alain arranged the schedule so that we hit these locations in the perfect order so that I could get the shots that I wanted at the right time. We did the shoot in the late afternoon and into the evening. By keeping to the timings he ensured that I got the shots I wanted at the right time in relation to sunset that day. In addition, he suggested locations that I never would have thought of, given that I am not from the Montreal area. This allowed me to hit some interesting spots that otherwise I would have missed. I found Alain to be very helpful in terms of suggesting possible compositions. He is very personable and the time went by fast.
I actually took up photography because I wanted to display my own art in my home and I have just ordered an acrylic mount print of one of the shots from this photo tour. Overall am glad I went ahead with it and would definitely recommend Alain to anyone who wants to get the most out of shooting in this city.

I would like a photo tour to have nice pictures as a souvenir of my grandmas 90th birthday traveling with her family
