Amazing private tour for 5 days in Cairo. Can't recommend Marwa highly enough. She guided my son and me round some popular and lesser known sights with great knowledge and pitched it just right for a 15 year old to keep him engaged. Whether you are a female travelling alone or a family, Marwa will ensure you have the trip of a lifetime.

I came to Egypt looking for a personalized tour - and one owned by an independent female business operator. I was so lucky to find Marwa Hafez - the Egyptian Museum’s first female Egyptologist. My time with Marwa began at the airport where she arranged my transport and was there to meet me in person (which gave me so much comfort upon arriving into Egypt as a solo female traveler.) She got me settled into my hotel and my adventure began at the pyramids of Giza the next day. It was incredible! She took me to all the sites, explained everything in detail (but kept it interesting) and took as many photos of me as I wanted (even more!) I highly recommend Marwa Hafez and her customized tours. She takes care to ensure that all of your transport is taken care of (and is performed by trusted drivers), that you see and do all that you like, and that you enjoy your stay in Egypt in comfort and safety. Having an Egyptologist there to explain things as only an Egyptologist can is one of the highlights of course. I overheard other tour guides while seeing the pyramids and knew I was getting the good stuff (the legitimate information!) Another highlight is that she knows almost everyone in Cairo and beyond - drivers, guards at checkpoints and at museums- and all welcome her with a huge smile and conversation. You know that you’re working with someone you can trust - and that you’ll have a smoother experience than if you were to travel alone or with a large tour. Do yourself a favor and book with Marwa.

I would give Mawra ten stars if I could. She is an incredibly passionate and knowledgable Egyptologist - my partner and I could not have asked for anyone better to show us around Giza, Saqqara, Memphis. The tour has been the highlight of our trip so far, and we cannot wait to visit Egypt again.
Mawra is very kind, communicative and thoughtful. She always ensured we were comfortable and spending the right amount of time at the various locations.

.Marwa faciliated an amazing day visiting the most famous sites in Egypt - the Pyramids. Together Marwa and Mohamed made sure we were able to see a wide range of pyramids, driving from site to site in order to ensure we had the best views for photographs (she is a very able photographer herself!!!).
Along the way her insights made the day really come to life, and her storytelling kept us engaged over what was going to be a long day. She is an excellent tour guide and Egyptologist, able to tailor her explanations to the interests of her clients.
She even helped me organise a special surprise for my partner - who is a very keen photographer. She organised a beautiful sunset dune buggy ride in the desert behind the pyramids, which gave us unique views of the pyramids in a very atmospheric lighting. I particularly enjoyed the dune buggy driving, as it was something I had never done before.
This day with Marwa certainly exceeded expectations and I would recommend anyone looking to see these world wonders to book with her.

My three children and I toured Egypt with Marwa over three days and had the best experience. Our first tour was to Giza Pyramids and to Saqqara & Memphis. We had arrived late the night before and my children (ages 6, 11, & 14) were tired. Marwa is professional but also so understanding and flexible. She went at a pace that met our needs, which allowed us to enjoy the day and get more out of the tour despite the jet lag. Marwa’s insights made the stone and sand come to life. She’s a well versed Egyptologist and gifted at communicating what she knows to mixed ages so that I could appreciate learning about Egyptian history and culture as well as my three children. We had reliable, safe transportation with cold AC and enjoyed chatting with Marwa on the ride from place to place. At the end of our tour, we booked with Marwa for the rest of our stay in Egypt! We hope to return to Egypt one day to see more of the country and to spend more time with its best guide, our new friend Marwa.

Our tour with Marwa was absolutely amazing. We met her coincidentally at the Egyptian Museum and immediately had her guide us through the rest of our Egypt trip including Giza, Aswan, Luxor with many stops in between. Her love for her work translates into the most positive experience we could have dreamed of. She is warm, outgoing, caring, and extremely extremely knowledgeable. Would whole heartedly recommend Marwa for any of your tour needs!

What a phenomenal start to my time in Egypt, Marwa is so knowledgeable about her country, both with the complex history of ancient Egypt and all the can't miss spots of present day. We had a great few first days together in Cairo and I would totally recommend her if you are looking for a smart, personal, fun tour guide. Can't wait to return again and would 100% contact her again for any other private tours.

We spent 3 days touring with Marwa and it was amazing. She is a great conversationalist and extremely knowledgeable on Egyptian history.
Something that really stood out was her ability to adapt based on the interests of the group. She was very in tune with us, did not rush any portion, and presented the content as a friend, rather than the typical “on your left you’ll see...”.
I will be using her again when I return to Egypt.

I’ve traveled to many countries and enjoyed over a dozen professional tours and Marwa is, far and away, the best tour guide I’ve ever experienced. She’s fun, friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and seems to know everyone in Egypt! I really feel we not only experienced “the real Egypt”, but made a friend.
I’ll never forget our time inside the pyramids. Truly amazing. Marwa knew exactly who to talk to to give us that customized experience. She improvised when we wanted to modify part of our tour or see something off the beaten track. It felt like we were guests of hers and Egypt and less like “tourists”.
We spent three days with Marwa. She found cool, safe and clean places to eat. She had a DEEP knowledge of archaeological sites, Islamic and Coptic culture. Her pricing is not the cheapest (that’s good!) but worth every penny we spent. I can’t recommend her more highly.
