Escribí a Tripadvisor y todavía no me responden.

Algo realmente asombroso!!! Volveré dentro de poco definitivamente.Escrita el 7 de septiembre de 2023

Our family of 8 adults loved this adventure. The zipline was a blast and the Hanging bridges were so beautiful. It was a rainy afternoon for the bridges, but nothing a poncho couldn't handle. I do suggest a guide, which if you book with Native's Way, you will receive. We were shuttled from Tamarindo and it was 3 hours, but the guide broke it up nicely on the way with a stop at a local bakery for cafe and sweets. The ride home was bit lengthy due to traffic on Liberia which added 2 hours to the total return. Pura Vida!

Unless you are using Native's Way transportation services to get to Selvatura Park, this tour is absolutely not worth it. We learned you can book through Selvatura directly and it would have saved us money. We chose the self-drive option because we had a rental car, and we were told to meet at the park at 9:30. We assumed we'd be met by someone from Native's Way, but we never saw a single person from the company. After waiting a bit, we went to the park's check-in counter and they passed us our pre-paid tickets and explained how the park worked. Native's Way giving us a select time to meet at the park was therefore unnecessary, particularly given the first zipline tour left at 8 and the next wasn't until 11.
We also selected the "partially guided" tour option, which was also underwhelming. The only guided portion was the zipline, which wasn't really a "guide" more a safety instructor. The walk through the cloud forrest was completely self-guided. We had assumed that there would be a guide for a portion of the walk to educate us and the group on what to look for / interesting details about the forrest and wildlife, and then the remainder would be self-guided, but that was not the case. So PSA - that is what they mean when they say "partially guided" in the description.
The lunch that was included was good - but we wouldn't have paid that much to eat there otherwise. So again, had we booked directly through Selvatura rather than through Native's Way - we would have done things differently and saved some money. The ziplining itself was really fun and we always felt safe - so we'd recommend Selvatura, just not Native's Way.

Hello Emily!
We are sorry if the information was not clear to you but what you mention in this review is precisely the information you have available before booking.
It is repeatedly mentioned that if you book the self-drive option it does not include a guide and you would have to go on your own. This is included in the "Additional Info", "What's Included" and "Meeting and Pickup" sections.
We also sent you a reminder the day before stating the following: "Also, as stated in your confirmation, the hanging bridges portion of the tour is also self-guided. If you would like to upgrade and include a guide, please contact us immediately."
We did not receive at any point any additional information from you requesting to add a tour guide to your booking.
It is true that we operate this tour in Selvatura Park, this is mentioned in the tour description as well.
Pura vida!

We had an amazing time with our guide Ricardo. We ended up booking a private tour so that we could go on the day we wanted, and I'm so glad we did because Ricardo made it an extremely personal trip for us. His knowledge of the area, fun facts, and flexibility to show us other cool sights made for an unforgettable trip! Highly recommend booking with Ricardo if you have the chance, you will learn so much and laugh along the way :)

The cloud forest hanging bridges were awesome! I love nature, so getting to walk through the forest and admire different wildlife was spectacular. We even saw some black Guam birds and emerald toucans! The zip lining was AMAZING. I’ve read some reviews who are disappointed the Superman isn’t included in the tour. Technically speaking, it is. You still do the zip line tandem, however, if you want to fly like Superman, it’s an extra $13. Well worth the price. I felt like I was truly flying and could have cried it was so amazing Photos of the experience was $20 for the whole catalog of photos they took. I also felt like this was a great value, considering that other places that do pictures like this charge the same price for one or two photos. Our tour guide, Manuel, was so friendly! This tour was definitely the highlight of my trip.

This tour was spectacular! Cesar was our tour guide & Mr. Wilian was our amazing driver! The drive from Tamarindo to Monteverde was an experience in itself! The views were breathtaking & Cesar was very informative about all the towns we drove through. The hanging bridges were unbelievable. It's hard to put into words the visions we saw. Cesar taught us a lot about the plants & birds while we were there. We also got to see a beautiful Quetzal bird...which is very lucky! Ziplining through the forest was an experience we'll never be able to recreate. Seeing all different trees & plant life from above is exhilarating. After our tour, Cesar & Mr. Wilian took us to a beautiful restaurant where we had a delicious Costa Rican meal. Their hospitality was exceptional! Definitely a great life experience & something you should book while you're in Costa Rica! Thank you Cesar & Mr. Wilian!

Our guide Manuel and driver Ken were so great; they picked us up right on time and were really invested in making sure we had the best time. As other people mentioned, it's hard to spot animals at Monteverde. This was made worse because we had an unusually hot day that was very sunny. We managed to find two quetzals and a tarantula. Our guide even took photos with his equipment and airdropped them to us, so we have much higher quality images than we could have gotten ourselves.
The ziplining was also a blast; at $40 for two people, we got the photo package; they make sure you know you only get pictures from the first two stops, so it was a lot of the same pictures in our package. I thought it was worth it. I didn't get the GoPro this time but would consider it. I also enjoyed swinging from the rope before the final zipline--added bonus is the second quetzal was there, up close! There is a weight limit of about 200 lbs, so do be aware of that if you are considering the zipline.
I didn't feel that hiking boots were really necessary; a good pair of sneakers would have been fine. Considering that it's usually colder and rainier, something close toed with a good grip is probably sound advice.
There are lockers there, but I didn't need them with this tour; our things were safely secured in our van, which was in a secure parking lot where the driver also remained. Definitely don't bring anything that is not secured on the zipline; I had a lanyard for my phone, and my boyfriend put his in a zippered pocket. Don't bring sunglasses or shoes that could fall off. If you have those, leave them with your guide. They will keep them safe.
Lunch was at a nearby restaurant (not the park restaurant); I enjoyed my casado, and I heard the pizza was good, though someone recommended that you do not order the panini.
The one thing that could be improved was the communication; the person of chat was very helpful, but we did have a little stress that the tour would be canceled because there was a minimum of 4 people required to operate, and it wasn't clear if we would be refunded had 3 more people not reserved at the last minute. It also wasn't clear to us that we would have been driven from our meeting point to another meeting point--if we knew this, we could have gone directly to the second meeting point, which was much closer to our hotel.
The important thing to note, though, is they were excellent about trying to accomodate us; when we drove by our hotel on the way to Moteverde, they agreed to drop us back off there on the way back rather than add a few extra stops--even though it wasn't officially a pick up or drop off point. That saved us a lot of time and money; it was very hard to get transportation from my hotel (the Hampton Inn), and it took quite a bit of time to get to the next closest pick up spot so that's a good tip! Many companies would not have been so flexible, so I really appreciate that. They were polite and prompt, so even though there was a touch of confusion, I don't blame them for this. I'm very happy with the experience and the staff, and I would absolutely recommend them.
So the key takeaway: try to ask them ahead of time what the route is. They may be able to help you if your hotel is not an official pick up spot, or they may be able to send you somewhere closer to your hotel.

Had an amazing time! Obviously it was a long car ride (3 and a half hours each way) but the Ziplining and hanging bridges were great. Our guide was Kevin Pina who was very knowledgeable about Costa Rican culture and also the costa Rican ecosystem! Recommend everyone to bring a rain jacket and long pants because it was quite cold and rainy when we got up there despite being very hot at our resort in guanacaste. Definitely recommend this adventure as long as you can stand a long car ride.

My partner and I visited Costa Rica in January 2024. The tour was Over priced! We were charged 390USD for 2. Zip line+hanging bridges, basically you will see the same view. So we tried to replace the hanging bridges with animal tour in the same park (sloth+butterfly). They only gave us 40 mins sloth tour and wanted to charge $58 more on top of $390 if we want to watch butterfly. We tried to contact Native’s Way for a compensation many times through email and text, even went to their office in town. Unfortunately we were told nothing can be done. We’re not happy with the feeling of got ripped off. Will NOT to recommend to anyone.

This is the wife of another review by Rob McDonald. They are failing to understand they can NOT switch out Hanging Bridges for Sloth Sanctuary AND butterflies on the day of the tour. Hanging Bridges, sloths and butterflies is MORE EXPENSIVE than the tour they booked, Zipline and Hanging Bridges. Also, there is no refund if they don't do any of the activities that they reserved. The park was able to allow them to change hanging bridges for sloths, but they do not offer a refund for the difference, which would have been $8 each person. If they had let us know ahead of time that they wanted to do hanging bridges sloths, and butterflies, we would have charged them more than the $195 per person (zipline and hanging bridges) and it would have been about $205 per person for this specific combination of activities they wanted to book, which includes transportation and tour guide from 3 hours away round trip as well as the park entrance tickets. This is not overpriced, as you will likely not find a better deal with transportation and tour guide included. They are making up their own policies that they should be allowed to switch out tours at the last moment, even if they have a greater value than what they booked.
It is unfortunate that people are allowed to spread misinformation about us. Rob and Qian had two tours with us, Rincon de la Vieja National Park and Monteverde Zipline & Hanging Bridges. We don't own the National Park, or zipline course, but our vans and guides picked them up for each tour 2-3 hours away, at the time we indicated the day before in our usual reconfirmation of pick up time/place. For Monteverde, Rob wanted to switch his activities at the park the day of the tour for a combo that we do not offer for the price he paid. After explaining why we can't, he and Qian both wrote a review. They were unable to justify the reason they are owed money. Here is the email he wrote to us (notice he doesn't mention many things in his email that he now claims in his review and fails to provide detail), followed by our response.
Good morning,
My partner and I were recently on vacation in Costa Rica and booked 2 different excursions through Native's Way. We had booked the tour for the Hanging bridges and ziplining. There was another group with us who had booked a tour for the animal sanctuary and the hanging bridges. We were informed that we would be allowed to switch our hanging bridges tickets for the animal sanctuary tickets. Because we were already doing the ziplining and were told that the experience would be very similar, we elected to switch the hanging bridges event. We were under the impression that since the other group had the opportunity to select 2 of the three animal exhibits, that we would have the same choice. However we were only given the Sloth exhibit and told we would have to pay an additional $21 per person to visit the butterfly sanctuary. Our guide had to pickup the tickets on site, which means the "package" that we had purchased is clearly flexible, yet when the price difference in what we paid for and received changed, we did not receive the reimbursement for that. We feel cheated and spoke to a representative regarding this. They said that they would get back to us regarding this issue and it has been about a week now with no reply.
**Our Response**
Thank you for taking the time to explain your experience in detail so we could better understand. I would like to clarify a few things to help you understand why and how all of this happened.
We offer two combos at Selvatura Park. These specific packages have special rates as opposed to booking individual activities
1) Hanging Bridges, Sloths, and Butterfly Garden, known as the 'Emerald Pack' at Selvatura.
2) Zipline & Hanging Bridges, this is the 'Gold Pack' at Selvatura.
The other group did not have the opportunity to select 2 of 3 exhibits, they are predefined as the sloths and butterfly garden, and that is what is written in the confirmation that we received from Selvatura. However, if Selvatura let them change out the butterfly garden for an activity that is of equal or lesser value, that is up to them at the time and the first that I have heard of this happening.
The guide did not purchase the tickets on site, he simply checked in and picked up the vouchers to enter the exhibits and bridges, but the reservations with exact activities are made and paid for in advance. The guides do not handle payments or makings reservations.
As the reservations are paid for in advance, I suppose Selvatura the sloths could be changed out for bridges yes, as it is about the same price to book those two things as it is to book zipline and hanging bridges 'Gold Pack', but there is not a package in Selvatura's system for Zipline, Sloths and Butterflies, and to add the butterflies on top of the zipline and sloths yes, would be extra. It is not of equal value as the Zipline and Hanging Bridges combo.
Selvatura does not refund for unused amounts at the park. They have a strict cancellation policy, so any changes or cancellations made 72 hours of the start time of the tour are non-refundable. If we had known of the zipline & sloth combo request in advance, the total of the package would have been $8 less per person.

If someone backs out of the zip line part last minute, can they reunite with the rest of the tour elsewhere?
