Tour was good, winery grounds were great, wine tasting of 6 wines was hit or miss for our preferences, some nice variety of wines tasted (Dry reds and whites, semi sweet red, and very sweet white). Narek was conducting our tour and he was very friendly and helpful.

Visited on a Thursday morning… We were left to browse around the store and when we had questions, Alana took great care of us. She answered all our questions, checked on our preferences and made appropriate suggestions… all of it in the most pleasant way! We will order from this winery again!

This winery is situated in a beautiful area, wines are delicious and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly!

However, what was promised on the wine tour was slightly misleading and was overpriced for what you get. We booked the VIP Tour and Tasting at $30 per person. We had to have a minimum of 8 people but had only had 7 attend. Not a problem for us – we paid for the extra seat to make up the 8-person cost.

At a grand total of $271.20 you get:
- 20 min tour of the grounds – the tour was good. No complaints.
- 5 different unmeasured wine sips at what I am guessing is half an ounce each? A typical tasting size should be about 2 to 3 ounces, but I didn’t want to have to call the staff out on this in public.
- A charcuterie board, which was stated as locally sourced: “guests will be served premium charcuterie boards which include meats, cheeses and our famous wine-jellies which are all locally sourced”. When asked about the meats and cheese our tour guide either didn’t know where they were from (i.e. the buffalo and duck sausage) or said it was sourced from COSTCO!? (i.e. cheeses). This information should be available during the tour.

The part that bothered me was that we still had about half of the charcuterie board left to eat and when I asked if we could have another “sip sample” of our favorite wine of the day, we were told no – but instead to go purchase a full glass of wine if we wanted too (at $8 to $10 a glass), even after paying for an extra spot we did not use. It feels like this location is more focused on micro-transactions than a full tour experience.

If you going here, I would skip the tour and go up to the counter and ask the staff about their wines, buy a glass and walk the grounds. Maybe purchase a bottle to support this local winery. You would get much better value for your money doing this.

Such a hidden gem! Wonderful wines and engaging, knowledgeable staff make this winery a delightful experience. Order one of their delicious charcuterie platters to enjoy on the beautiful covered patio or on the expansive property. We will be back!!!

Thank you Groupon for exposing me to this lovely winery, and GREAT wines!! Even though I had driven passed the sign on the 400 highway SOOOO many times, I'd truly (sadly) never seen it! Who knew!?!? D-oh!

We were greeted so warmly and checked in very quickly and the winery tour and tasting started!

We really lucked out though, and ended up the only ppl that had booked the Sunday 11am tour appt. (They currently take tours at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, up to 20 ppl total, from however many groups that would fill each slot up).

The tour started with the beautiful event space followed by the processing tour and then tasting.

We opted to upgrade the tasting with an optional cheese board (charcuterie is also an option). So nicely presented and worth while as a tasting accoutrements.

They do 12 wines on 11 acres of vines (the chardonnay is from Niagara on the Lake though - not grown on site, and is fab!). And the 6 we tried that day were all really good.

Pics show the tasting bottles. They have won gold and silver medals!

We will definitely go back when the vines are green.

Bravo Holland Marsh Winery!

The club that I belong to in Newmarket had arranged an afternoon tour of the winery. The young lady who took us around was very informative and enthused with her task. We all enjoyed the tasting after the tour. Be warned that the cost of the tour is taxable, something that our organizer didn't account for when collecting the money before the event.

Excellent visit to this winery. It was a warm and sunny day and the vineyard looked as if I was in California somewhere. You'd never guess you're just a few minutes away from the 400. The facility is beautiful and we were lucky to see the setup for a wedding. Our hostess Meaghan took us, a group of 12, on a tour outside, explained about the history of this winery, the grapes and then took us inside to have a look at the processing from grape to wine to bottle. Then it was time for the tasting which was very well organized complete with a list of the wines to be tasted with their descriptions, possible pairings, prices and room for note taking. Again Meaghan was wonderful, knowledgeable and charming. We tasted 3 reds and 3 whites and Meaghan introduced us to a trick of tasting a red wine before and after eating something sweet, in this case a chocolate truffle supplied by the winery's neighbour. All wines were reasonably priced so it was easy to purchase 6 bottles, including their rose. We toured the grounds for a few more minutes before we left. 2 hours very well spent without having to make the journey to the Niagara peninsula. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

A beautiful local winery for a special afternoon with friends . The tour was wonderful and very informative . The hostess was amazing and explained the benefits of this family run winery. A beautiful wedding venue with amazing ambience. This family run winery prices themselves in buying everything local including beautiful chocolate truffles from a Neigbour . A great place for the wine lovers .

My girlfriend and I decided to drive over from her house and check out this vineyard today. Which both of us have always passed the sign for but never had time to go and check it out.

We are extremely glad we decided today to try it out. It is a nice quiet vineyard pack away in the hills away from the busy city and still gives Off the feel of steeping onto a place nestled far away in the country. The property itself is very nice with activities outside, walking around the vines, wine tasting and tours. This place is a excellent spot to stop by or to host a party or wedding. The wines are very good and would rival many of the big vineyard in other popular regions. Our tour guide Victoria was very knowledgeable and was excellent at her job. Because of the wonderful reception and atmosphere we received at this vineyard we will be back again soon.
