We do like trains and Bressingham had two narrow gauge trains running. Sadly due to the VERY dry grass, etc. they had to use the diesel trains, so missed out on the steamers. But you have to be sensible, and they were.
The cafe was very good with friendly and helpful staff and good food.

You can pay to just go round the gardens and not for the train rides if you want. The garden's are beautiful even through all the best we've been having as they have their own well. Walk to the furthest part first, the Foggy Bottom garden, it's not a busy and very beautiful.

Great venue for young and old with so much to see you will need to allow the whole day. Lovely atmosphere and good value for money.

We do love this place. We've visited for many years ago. We brought our youngest for his first visit and his reaction was brilliant. He loved it just as much as we all do.
Unfortunately, we felt let down by the food. We normally bring a picnic but as on our way home we thought we will grab lunch there. My husband had the sausage and onion sub. The sausages were cold and the onions reheated. This will sound so silly to most but it was a disappointment. The rolls were hard and the chips reheated. My children had sausage and chips.... the sausage was almost black.
I get it was busy and that the day was hot but I think a little care and this could have been splendid. £40 for four basic lunches and a bottle of water was very pricey.
The other problem is the amount of wasps...there are ways to deal with it. Wasp traps are probably the most simplistic. It feels like the place has lost a little bit of magic. It's such a shame because the whole concept is something we love. We will bring a picnic the next time we go and we will make sure that we don't visit in the heat.

A lot less stalls than previous years, to many of them were bric a brac, and had nothing to do with steampunk at all.
the promised extra entertainment didn’t materialise. People were asked to perform, then no one got back to them and nothing happened on the day, which is was disappointing and rude to those who had put their names forward. I was looking forward to something different.
No where near at the standard of previous years, disappointing, needs s revamp, and some singers/bands or dancers performing, like other local events have. I know there have been changes into the running of site, and this has been hard on those that work there. but a revamp of the event is needed, to get people to keep coming back, used to go both days and really enjoy it. Glad I only went one as this was a disappointment. Maybe it’s time the event was run my someone knew.

Bought tickets online for today steam day when we got there were told no steam because of the heat we checked online before we left home and they were running we were a bit out because that's what we had booked we said we understood as it is very hot they said we could use the 2 diesel trains the 11 am were cancelled we were then told there would only be 1 train running we complained that this was not what we had paid £31.98 for they offered a £3.49 pound refund each we said that was not good enough but they would not do any more so with the £32 train tickets and £15 petrol we are well out of pocket I could not have refund as I had not got my card with me I have got to phone them for the money they did say we could stay all day on the one train our 3 trips on the gallopers no we would not recommend or go again they don't understand that you should get what you paid for steam train cancelled we understand but they should have put it on the web site the day before like they did Monday and Tuesday

Really good day out, there were 4 trains running (including the newly restored one with the brake van) and the carousel. The staff were so friendly and were absolute troopers in the heat today!

Very interesting lots to see . Great display of models and dads army's vehicles will visit again soon as there's plenty to see the gardens are the best we've ever seen

Another fun day out at Bressingham. Lovely atmosphere as always with an old classic fire engine out… great for the kids to sit in and enjoy. It was Lego event this weekend & it was enjoyable for all ages. Enjoyed the rides on the trains as usual and the walks around the garden. All volunteers friendly as always. See you again in a few weeks for another enjoyable day.

Value for money,nine pounds is about right,gardens are lovely,I enjoyed the exhibits,but not enough signage,wandered about ,it needs signs suggesting what to do next,I know its staffed by volunteers,but I only saw 3 the whole time walking around so I couldn't ask any questions.was there a good couple of hours.decided not to go on trains/gallopers,so can't comment on them

Their website would be the best answer. Also several places around here are only taking advance bookings so check that as well if you are travelling any distance.

Our Gallopers roundabout built in 1897 can be both steam and electrically operated. We tend to steam on event days, some Sundays and Bank Holidays.
We are open for Christmas Specials, but the site won't be open as a whole until Easter 2016.
