All Saints Anglican Church held its first service in 1841, making it the first permanent church in the Swan River Colony, which was founded in 1829. It stands on a small hill overlooking the Swan River, where Captain James Stirling surveyed the area in 1827 when he was exploring the area. This sturdy building hosts services on Sunday and other Anglican holidays.

Captain James Stirling camped at this very site during his 1827 exploration of the area as attested on a tablet at the Lychgate. The church dates to 1838, built by Richard Edwards whose gravesite is marked by a headstone with attached plaque. He was assisted by volunteers from the locality who donated labour and material. It was constructed from locally made clay bricks, pit sawn timbers and roofed with sheoak shingles. It is a rather simple structure but is stated to be constructed in the Old Colonial Gothic Picturesque style. The building now has a corrugated metal roof and underwent a major restoration in 1988 with the roof restored in 2016. In addition to the Edwards gravesite, there are a number of graves of significance; William Mackie, the first Judge of the colony; Frederick Irwin, acting Governor 1847/1848; Henry Morley, one of the earliest settlers in the colony.
The lychgate dates to 1929 when it was erected to mark the centenary of settlement. It was restored in 1979.

Situated about 250m off the main road this lovey little c.1838 church is a must see part of the heritage of the Swan Valley. It's built on the spot were Capt. James Stirling is said to have camped earlier in 1827 on the high bank overlooking the river. The grounds including the old graveyard are well maintained and the overall setting offers a quiet oasis from the quite busy road traffic nearby.

観光マップに英国国教会とあったので、興味があり訪問しました。WA州で最初にできた、英国国教会との事で、とても小さいですが素敵な教会でした。墓地の周りには、オーストラリア判の彼岸花が咲いていました。

Just off the Gnangara and West Swan road you take the small lane and centre the church grounds after about 200 metres. All Saints Church is the oldest church in Wester Australia and was built in 1838. The first official service being 1841.
It sites on the back of the Swan river and was the historical site where Captain James Stirling camped when on his expedition of Australia in 1827.

The Church is only small as would be expected as it's main purpose was to serve the local settlers in the area. Transport in those early days was hard and there were few bridges across the river so other small Churches began to appear in the area. From about 1850's they came under the South Australian diocese.

As you walk through the grave sites, take time to read the head stones.
Some are sad and some give an insight to the characters and history of the setting.

There are public washrooms available, plenty of parking and services still run on a Sunday for those wishing to attend.
Worth a visit if you are in the area.

This quaint little Church was apparently the very first church established in WA, has a unique old cemetery attached with amazing headstones and if you duck out back you can see the Swan River passing by.

This has got to be one of the oldest church in Perth and is located in the Swan valley among all the vineyards. We visited this church in September 2016. It was a very small church and there was a cemetery beside it. You get a serene and tranquil atmosphere here. Good to drop by if you are visiting the vineyards.

It'll only take you a few minutes, but well worth the time. This was one of the landing spots of the first navigators of the Swan River.

This place is interesting for historical buffs as it has a cemetery next to the chapel where you fidn some old, very old graves. The most important is the judge´s grave - the judge most have been a key figure in local history.

The small church has a historic background that begins with the first settlers in WA and surprisingly it remains virtually untouched. There is a small graveyard and a lovey little area that overlooks the swan river.
