Diese schlichte Statue, die den langjährigen Bürgermeister Tel Avivs, Meir Dizengoff, auf einem Pferd sitzend darstellt, befindet sich auf dem Rothschild Boulevard direkt vor seinem ehemaligen Wohnhaus, das später als "Independence Hall" Bekanntheit erlangte (zurzeit wird das Haus renoviert).

If you walk along Rothschild Blvd to the area where TV began in 1909 you will pass a statue of a man on a horse. The man was one of the drivers behind the development of the city and perhaps the most powerful of the initial 64 founding families. He controlled planning initially before becoming mayor for some 22 years.

It is not a very nice statue. Its value is the man, who is sitting on the horse. Meir Dizengoff was the first major of Tel AViv and done a lot for his city. The statue stands at the Independence Hall.

A pioneer of modern Zionism and the first Mayor of Tel Aviv. He gave his house to the city and it became the Independence Hall, where Ben Gurion first declared the state of Israel. This is an impressive statue and a fitting tribute to a great man.

Meir Dizengoff was an Israeli position and the first mayor of Tel Aviv. As if there wasn't enough buildings, public places and parks named after the man, there's also this statue. Located on Rothschild Boulevard, opposite Independence Hall is this statue of Meir Dizengoff riding his horse in a very realistic pose.
