Saw this street and hated the steps LOL but quite interesting to traverse when you're out exploring. Just take your time. There are quite a number of streets or alleys like this so don't just limit yourself here. Walk around a bit more, both in the mornings where stores haven't opened and less people, as well as during the latter part of the day when stores and restaurants are open.

Although you wouldn’t seek out Ladder St for its own sake, if you are walking between Hollywood Road and the Man Mo Temple or Cat St markets, then it’s an easy diversion.
Ladder St isn’t really a conventional street at all. Instead, it’s really a century old giant stone staircase. It’s not exactly the Spanish Steps but it is an interesting and historic spot.
It’s not the only ladder-style street in Hong Kong. The city is built on the slopes of Victoria Peak so these stepped streets were a very practical solution in the early days of the colony, allowing people to walk straight up and down the slopes rather than having to wind their way along the main thoroughfares. Remaining “ladder streets” are some of the oldest structures in Hong Kong. You’ll see others throughout the city, like Duddell St, Pottinger St and Pound Lane.
The granite stairs are wide and evenly spaced and there are hand-rails so it’s not slippery or risky. However it is unrelentingly steep (do yourself a favour and walk down it, rather than up). If you want to avoid a steep climb, the Mid-Levels escalator will carry you up the slopes instead.

There is a lot going on around ladder street which is much more interesting than ladder street itself. It is a very steep climb of lots of steep steps. Hard work in the heat. However, they are old and part of the history of Hong Kong.

I don't remember the street being this quiet. Probably effected a little by recent political unrest but we went here a few times in our recent trip to HK and it was very quiet. Very few market stalls set up, lots of shops closed.

Kami melewati jalan ini ketika menuju restoran Little Bao.
