Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una semana increíble en Galápagos en el Sirio. Barco súper moderno, buena comida y naturaleza impresionante. Reservamos un crucero de 7 noches a bordo del Golden Galápagos Endemic a través de Ecuador y Galápagos Insiders, y la experiencia fue de primera clase de principio a fin.
La comunicación con Diego Andrade en Insiders fue perfecta, y la experiencia con el equipo de Galápagos Dorados al llegar a Baltra fue excelente. Nuestro viaje fue perfecto desde el principio, Alexandra de Galapagos Insiders nos ayudó a reservar el Cormorant II para nuestra familia de 6 personas. El proceso de reserva fue muy sencillo y todas nuestras preguntas fueron respondidas rápidamente. Nuestra familia de 4 personas hizo un viaje de 8 días a bordo del Yate Elite a través de Evelyn de Galapagos Insiders, el proceso de reserva y tomar una decisión para el mejor viaje para nosotros fue bastante fácil con su conocimiento y asistencia. Somehow my cut and paste failed to deliver the whole review that I wrote so here it is!
Having travelled to Europe and across North America extensively, my wife and I decided to visit Ecuador as it seemed to have a diverse offering. Indeed, it does, and we recommend you take a trip to see the Galapagos to experience the wildlife, straddle the Equator, climb the Andes and soak in a geothermal hot spring, canoe the Napo River in the Amazon and listen to the Howlers bellow their warning. And most importantly to enjoy the wonderful food and hospitality that we found everywhere we went as we learned the history of the country and visited the heritage sites.
We had heard of Glamping and on this trip, we had the opportunity to enjoy Glamping at the Sacha Lodge in the Amazon and the Scalesia Lodge on Isabella Island in the Galapagos. Both were beautiful, well-appointed and provided a wonderful base camp for our day and evening excursions. Daniel was our knowledgeable Gate1 tour leader that saw to everyone’s needs and brought on docents specific to the locale we were in, naturalists or historians or both. I use docent meaning they used imaginations, asked us questions, and engaged us. They were founts of knowledge interacting with our group answering all our questions while giving the background we came to learn. Daniel too was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to share his knowledge. One memorable time was stopping the bus on the Pan-American highway so we all could experience the many fruits Ecuador has to offer. Not one horn was beeped, not one angry shout was heard as our bus blocked the right lane of the Pan-American highway as we sampled the fruits. Very hospitable people to say the least. So, when was the last time you had an Ice-Cream Bean? I suggest you go to Ecuador and have one. Another was snorkeling in the Galapagos with the Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, many species of fish, and white tipped sharks. Yes, the sharks were 9 to 12 feet long and yes there were dozens of them, but Daniel assured us they had small mouths so not to worry. We all came through unscathed thanking Daniel for guiding us on this adventure.
