I have just finished an epic trip around Colombia with MotoDreamer. Mike, the owner was our guide. He is well travelled, an extremely good rider and clearly passionate about motorcycling and Colombia. The trip was really well organised. Scenery stunning and we rode some great roads...more twisties than you can shake a stick at! Accommodation was really good, a mixture of high end city centre hotels and more rustic hotels in the smaller towns, all of a good standard. Plenty of food and rest breaks. Activities for off-days all well planned. I have been on plenty of guided motorcycle tours over the last 20 years and would definitely recommend a trip to Colombia with Mike and his team. Colombia is a beautiful country, emerging from a turbulent recent past. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed

Just back from an amazing tour of Columbia, great roads, bikes, people, food, & hotels.
Mike is an excellent guide,very likeable & professional, he dealt with any issues that we threw at him with a smile.
I'm not one for writing reviews but Mike and his team deserve a first class review, thoroughly recommend booking with these guys, you won't be disappointed.

I cannot begin to express what a great experience it was touring Colombia on a motorcycle with MotoDreamer Tours. Mike Thomsen and his wife were extremely professional and helpful. I did the 16 day round Colombia tour and would recommend it highly. We saw amazing sights, stayed in nice hotels and eat like kings. I woke up everyday ready for a new adventure and it happened! Colombia is an incredible country with mountains that beg to be explored and friendly people at every turn. You can’t go wrong with MotoDreamer!

Great 10 days spent in Colombia as a group of 6 friends, renting Mike's bikes (BMW GS 750 & 850) without any problem all along the trip. Due to pandemia, no tourists at all so for all of us the best moment to discover or re-discover this marvelous country with high hospitality especially out of biggest cities. Mike has been a great adviser for giving good tips for where to stay and what to see ... So just finishing we all promissed to come back and discover another region of Colombia as soon as possible.

What an incredible trip way more than i would have expected. Mike is a true professional.
A group of us went for a two week period and every ride and stop was top notch.
I recommend Motolombia if you have the opportunity book a trip you wont regret it.

Absolutely amazing!
I went during the pandemic. Let's hope this part of the review doesn't matter for too much longer, but we're still in it so I'll talk about that first. Riding by it's nature is a socially distant activity. As someone coming from the US, I can tell you that in situations where social distancing is a challenge (like restaurants, for example), Colombia's biosecurity and their citizens willingness to follow it is far better, so in many ways it's a safer place to be. So it is doable if you choose to. Be safe if so!
I rented for three days. First day was a day trip by myself up and around Rio Calima as suggested by Mike, including the route and an offline maps/navigation app suggestion. The other two days were a down and back trip with a group (including the previous two reviewers, looks like!) in and around Popayan. Everything was great. The bike was in excellent condition and ran well. The routes were amazing. Some of the most beautiful views I've seen in my entire life. The routes, besides being scenic were delightful to ride on. Lots of curves and elevation changes. Every restaurant was fantastic, every site fun to see.
Then there's the people. Mike's an interesting guy, and one of those people you just instantly like. And a great tour guide besides. He kept a good pace. Just the right amount of breaks and stops. And was good at keeping tabs on people even in chaotic traffic. I've no doubt the same can be said of any other guides or support staff. I also liked the group I was with. And I feel like that's probably usually the case. Everyone looking for the same kind of adventure.
Last thing I can think of to talk about is Colombia itself. I know there's a reputation of it being unsafe. And that aspect certainly exists as it does most anywhere, but I never once felt in danger. And that's my entire time there, not just this tour. Just use common sense, secure your valuables, and stay out of dangerous areas and you'll be fine. That aside, I found the people to be overwhelmingly nice, honest, and seemed to actually enjoy seeing foreign visitors. English is rarely spoken. Which won't be a problem while touring with this company, but it would do you well to pick up some basic Spanish if you don't have it already.
Anyway, if you're thinking about doing this, I hope my review helped convince you. It's absolutely worth it.

Mike of Motolombia was a genuine great host during the pandemic to lead us on a Tour of Popayan and then route us a 5 day itinerary to San Agustin to the Desert to Salento and eventually to Bogota. Providing a one way drop off (reasonable fee) and hotels/bed & breakfast places set up was really appreciative because during Covid, it is hard via a website to really know what is open! He and his wife confirmed our rooms and the front desk folks knew of our arrival. they also helped put us in contact with english speaking tour guides that went out of their way to make sure our visit was great. I travelled two up on the BMW GS 1250 with my college aged daughter and we felt that if we had any problems, Mike was available. His insight such as downloading maps with points of interest in advance helped navigate when you are in an area that is desolate with no wifi! I would recommend his services and hope you get to enjoy some great riding in Colombia!

Riding with Motolombia was amazing. I cannot wait to be back.
You meet Mike and two minutes later you feel like you are talking to an old friend. One of the reasons this is so enjoyable is because of Mike and Diana, they are the best people and they always go out of the way to provide you with the best experience. The other members of Motolombia staff were super helpful as well helping me get setup to start my tour.
Motolombia offers a premium experience, where you get all of the fun and none of the work. Motolombia handles all the work, logistics, preparation, hassle. You don't need to carry a tool kit or know how to fix anything. Everything is taken care for you.
When I arrived my bike was ready for me. Oil changed, tank full, all reviewed, almost brand new. No worries about mechanical breakdowns or anything. If anything were to happen (unlikely since the bike was so new) Motolombia would handle it.
The scenery, the people, the culture are amazing.
Great routes, a lot of nice twisty roads, the mountains and scenery so amazing that the pictures do not make it justice.
Colombia is very safe. Prices for travel, food, and lodging are incredibly good and affordable.
The number of riding hours per day was perfect. Several nice breaks, made it so I never felt tired, Instead, I was soaking in the experience and the scenery.
This was my first ever motorcycle trip longer than a single day. I was careful, and I was riding at my own skill level, and level of comfort. I never felt pressured to hurry up or to go beyond what I felt comfortable with. Quite the contrary, both Mike and my fellow riders were there for each other the whole time.
The accommodations and the places we stopped for meals were excellent. It would take me weeks to research and plan all that, and I would still not have the insight that the locals do.
My trip was hiding during the pandemic, and Colombia has very strict biosafety protocols in place and near-universal mandatory mask-wearing. Motorcycling is inherently socially distant, but if you worry about the virus, you are probably safer in Colombia than in the United States.
I never feared for my safety. Quite the contrary, all my interactions with the locals were overwhelmingly positive, they were super helpful and friendly. Several people even asked to take photos with our group.
If you enjoy riding motorcycles, Motolombia offers experiences that you cannot miss. I cannot recommend it enough.

We went on a 10 day trip around and through the coffee region (between Cali, Medellin & Bogota).
We joined together with another couple and one single guy, our fantastic tourleader Marijn and suport vehicle driver "Johan"xx
It was a beautifull adventure with fantastic driving, interesting sights and insights, great accomodation and professional planning and executing!!
This was the first time that we joined a guided tour and we were positively surprised how exciting it was! Colombia is a biker paradise with breathtaking destinations to explore. The people are welcoming, friendly, helpfull and passionate about their country, which anyone that visits will also be!!
There isn't a better way to enjoy this country, if you are passionate about driving bikes, seeing, tasting and feeling all that is colombia....
Motolombia, Mike and his great staff will look after you!!
