Tour in Cartagena with
Marelvy Pena-Hall, 8:00 am
From Marelvy:
The Highpoints of the City tour begins with a visit to the summit of La Popa in order to take in a magnificent 360° panoramic view of the entire city and its environs. From there we do some sightseeing at the Fortress of San Felipe, stopping for photos and to talk about its history but not taking the arduous trek up to the top which is anti-climactic anyhow after having been to La Popa. Then we go for a nice walk around the neighborhood of Getsemani which is considered the “coolest place” in Cartagena and where lots of locals are still living in the area. From there we will we do some more walking in the rest of the Old City visiting the main plazas some cloisters and winding up with a visit to the Emerald Museum. The tour lasts for four hours.
The price of the tour for a group of four people is 95 dollars per person, for six 85 dollars per person, for eight 75 dollars per person, for 10-12 guests 69 dollars per person and for 13-15 people 65 dollars per person. The price includes transportation in an air-conditioned van or minibus with a driver, entrance fees to La Popa, the fee we pay to the port authority in order to pick you up and leave you off at the docks and, of course, the fee for my services as your private guide.
