We booked our 7 days kilimanjaro climbing via Lemosho Route.
Everything was well organised and our guide Mr Josia helped us to reach to the top easily and safely.
Kitau's team made sure we had quality tents, enough foods on the mountain and the caring crew.
We reached to the top on day 6.
They also helped us to rents all the gears for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
Highly recommending this company for mountain hiking.
Everything was well organised and our guide Mr Josia helped us to reach to the top easily and safely.

We reached to the top on day 6.
They also helped us to rents all the gears for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

We Did 7 days Machame Route with them and everything was well planned, Clean Gears, Tents, delicious food and great team.
Our guide and crews was very polite, friendly and caring.
We had doubts before we started the trekking but once we reached to the Machame gate we realized we were lucky enough to have Kitau’s Team on the trekking.

Overall it was still an amazing experience the safari however I would not recommend this company. I tried to pay in advance as this was usual the case with other companies however they refused and pressure me to pay in cash on arrival despite my concerns about carrying too much cash and all the hassle to withdraw money in multiple attempts (on arrival Ramadhan said I couldn’t pay by bank transfer because he need the money immediately to pay the staff - sure but forgot I offer to do so before arrival). Never the less Ramadhan picked me up from Arusha airport (visibly annoyed by my flight being delayed half an hour which wasn’t my fault). Everytime he had to pick my up and drive me somewhere he would be annoying by something. This also happened with the location of my accommodations before and after the safari. It’s also not my fault that the back roads in Arusha are terrible and I wouldn’t guess. If they want to avoid that they could at least give advice on accommodation choice. Never the less the transfers were included so I actually paid for it so don’t complain. They just want easy money (and you can tell that when he converts dollars to shillings… he manages for you to spend more than the agreed amount saying it’s the bank rate).
Now about the safari itself… without pre warning I was added to a tour with people using other company. There were just a set of binoculars for the guide that he would share with the 6 people during the game drives (and still those binoculars you could only see on one side!). The vehicle was in poor condition. Windows wouldn’t open properly and no one though about cleaning the windows during the 4 days and because we caught a bit of rain… mixed with the huge amount of dust the windows wouldn’t open anymore and it was not clear to see through the windows.
The plan was not fully followed. On the last day the plan stated a 6-7hours game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and we had only 4hrs heading back to the campsite for lunch despite on the plan saying we were supposed to have lunch on the crater. One of the days we were given just hot drinks and chocolate cookies for breakfast and that’s not acceptable. Also I was promised hot meals when I asked prior to the trip and on the first day we were given a box with snacks to eat for lunch. I wouldn’t mind so much if I had been told when I asked. There is something called honesty.
On the first night they told me and other girl to sleep in the same igloo hut despite we didn’t know each other. I ended up sleeping on my own because the other girl was actually even on the wrong campsite (paid for luxury and was taken to a basic one). On the second and third nights we camped. On the first I noticed there was no tent for me and they told me to sleep with 2 other girls that were doing the tour together. I expressed my complains and texted Ramadham who didn’t even bother to reply. On my tour description it was never mentioned or given the option to have shared or single tent. It just mentioned the included a tent and as I was travelling alone I just assumed I had one for myself. Also they provided a single tent for one of the guys so why the girls have to share? Anyway… on the third night they promised my single tent and I noticed they took one from the staff and gave it to me which I said I didn’t want on the previous night (didn’t want to move anyone out… just wanted my own). Because of this confusion someone woke me up during the night going to my tent thinking was someone else.
As an advice…Just pick another company.

Kitau subcontracts their safaris out to low quality suppliers.(earthsheartsafaris) I paid cash which was a mistake. It was unsafe from the beginning when Kitau dumped us off at the vehicle which was waiting on a battery. For the next 4 days it was one problem after another. Would not go highway speed, kept dying. Overheating. 3 flats without a working jack. Headlamps went out after dark. We had 2 be picked up several times because of the problems. It finally died for good at the bottom of the crater and had to be hauled away. We were late every night into camp and missed meals, entertainment, and hours of Safari drive time. Through all of this I called and texted Kitau more times I can count. He would not answer the phone and did not reply to texts except just once to say he was sorry. There was never any mention of getting a replacement vehicle or compensation for the hours of safari time let alone the hours spent sitting on the side of the road. He took the cash and ran with no thought to customer service. As a former travel agent, I would never use this company. It is in you best interest if you don't either.

Kitau tanzania safaris arrangements were perfect, starting intent lodges with wildlife all around us, progressively more luxurious. My daughter’s 18th birthday occurred on the trip. Spending the full day in the crater with the herd of elephants close to our jeep was the most amazing experience we saw Hyenas We spotted Rhinos. Having the right guide and driver with you, who was Jordan all along with his knowledge of wildlife had me on extreme wanting to know more. making us want to add more days on our safari but we agreed on a short sweet which we had. all I can say is the safari was an amazing and a learning trip for my daughter as well and thanks to the team making my daughter’s birthday cake. We enjoyed the food from the start to last the picnic lunches are at their best This was a trip of a lifetime! Safari was on a bucket list for us, we had high expectations and kitautanzaniasafaris delivered. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do a safari in Tanzania and would happily book with them again if given the chance.

Choosing Kitau Tanzania safari is one of the tremendous ideas we made in our african safari.The trip was incredible and our guide was fabulous.kitau team was very helpful From start to finish.

This is our second trip to Tanzania and we decided to book with Kitau Tanzania Safaris.
At all stages, communication was clear, prompt, and kind.
The service was excellent and well beyond our expectations.
The Tour was fantastic, with many of breaks. With the aid of our eagle-eyed driver, we were able to glimpse the Big Five.
The arrangements for our stays at the three parks were smooth, and we enjoyed the wonderful cuisine, as well as the personnel and accommodations.
If I go back to Tanzania, I'll definitely look into Kitau Tanzania Safaris.

We spent four fantastic days in Tanzania with Jordan, our gracious and helpful guide. It was the most unforgettable experience of our life. Kitau Tanzania Safaris made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! We'll be returning, and go with them again! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
