This a Columbia Gorge highlight to which we always take visitors. Best parts are architecture, history and, of course the view. But I want to especially point out the coffee shop; it has the best mocha that I have found in the Portland area.

Use Sasquatch Shuttle’s parking lot and hop-on/hop-off service so you can relax and don’t have to fight for parking! This is one of their stops. I never would have known about it if not for the shuttle service!
It’s worth it to see the views and do a quick self guided tour of the remarkable historical building.

This attraction is right on the scenic highway, and is reached by a steady uphill climb. The reward is a beautiful view of the Columbia River valley. Worth a stop.

Il posto è meraviglioso, panorama avvolgente in tutte le direzioni, la natura domina tutto, il fiume scorre lento nella valle, le colline circondano il canyon. La zona offre percorsi, piazzole di sosta, scorci ed attrazioni, da esplorare e da non perdere assolutamente.

Обзорная площадка Краун Пойнт (Crown Point) в Национальном парке штата Орегон расположена на одном из поворотов скоростной автодороги Колумбия-Ривер. Это одна из самых знаменитых обзорных площадок в Национальном парке штата Орегон. Всем известно, что американцы – большие патриоты своей страны. В Америке очень много национальных парков, и все они находятся под охраной государства. Когда эту дорогу строили, то предприниматели, которые финансировали строительство, предложили на этом участке сделать остановку для автолюбителей. Так как им очень понравились красивые виды. Надо сказать, что обзорная площадка стоит на базальтовой скале, которая осталась от извержения древнего вулкана. Собственно, долина реки Колумбия – это след, который лава прорезала в горных породах, так что река течет по древнему руслу лавы. На этой площадке есть домик-ротонда, который называется Виста Хаус. В нем можно подняться на второй этаж и сфотографировать прекрасные американские пейзажи.

Ce point de vue sur la Columbia River est un des plus connus, il est dans toutes les brochures de l'Oregon et permet d'admirer la beauté du fleuve.

The view is stupendous, the building interesting, and the parking horrid. To see all the main points along the gorge you really need to go via a guided tour bus that has preferred parking.
The docents were informative and funny. The building was well maintained. Glad we find a spot to park.

First stop on a self guided day trip through the Columbia River Gorge loop with my wife. Totally fogged in when we arrived, but we enjoyed talking to the staff at the Vista House, meeting other travelers who had trip suggestions, touring the little museum and gift shop, and relaxing with a latte. By the time we were ready to move on, the fog lifted and we were treated to a sunny day with a gorgeous view of the Columbia. Highly recommend.

We went to several places along route 30 to see the waterfalls and the gorge area. We stopped at Crown Point/Vista House for the view of the Columbia River area. The surroundings are wonderful. Route 30 got very congested around Multnomah Falls due to very inconsiderate people who clogged route 30 waiting for a parking spot to open.

This is a lovely park with wonderful views of the Columbia river. This is well worth a visit if you are in the area and are vitiating the attractions along state highway 30.
