Some of the best improv around. And their summer "Patio Musical" (all improvised) is absolutely delightful. Lots of laughter and fun and the most beautiful patio stage surrounded by exquisite flowers on the Saugatucket River. It is improv nirvana!

Attended the Christmas Cocktail Caberet at the Narragansett Towers and it was a pure holiday delight. From the beauty of the towers- to the Christmas traditional songs with a Rhode Island twist, to the skits and songs and fun- what a great night! Also horsdoevres were very nice- cheese crackers, veggies and dip and then a chocolate fountain at intermission with cookies- was all very nice. Loved that local Gooseneck vineyards was there giving tastings _ real nice touch I hope they continue to incorporate in future events

This small town non-equity black box theater puts on plus or minus 200 Productions and classes every year. Using local talent and non-equity actors, Productions such as a Christmas carol, Hamlet, Little Shop of Horrors are produced and directed by local talent in first class five star quality.

There is so much to appreciate in regards of the variety of what i offered. They have Improv, talent shows and plays. The theater certainly is a “Hidden Gem” in downtown Wakefield. I find that over the years, this place has been gaining a regular following of people in the community and others who have discovered the theater’s fantastic entertainment at an affordable price.
The Community Theater Company has a special sort of magic going on and I am looking forward to enjoying this awesome place in the future! It is definitely on my favorites list!

from improv to the stage local talent takes over in a big way. These are talented people who love what they do and they do it in a great way.
A low cost way to show how much we love theater is to support places like this in every way possible. A small gem. They teach classes to the kids so that the arts are not lost. just down a small drive and you are at the front door. The also have camps and the people who run the place are great in their management skills.
please keep up the good work. Locals should see how they can help if any is needed to make sure we do not loose this jewel. go to their events and support them. Visitors to the area make sure you check this place out as you will have a great time and bring the kids.

Wakefield Idol was a terrific exhibition of local talent - far better than Hollywood's glitzy and top heavy productions. It was competitive, yet still supportive of those contestants who didn't make the cut; clearly everybody was having fun. While in attendance I was inspired to inquire if the Contemporary Theatre might be interested in considering some material I have written for conversion into a screen play? This local downtown theater keeps on giving. Offering ever changing programming as well as community favorites like Micetro Improv & Shakespeare on the patio. Extremely talented people put on always entertaining or provocative plays. Engages the community with their theater workshops & family opportunities. Giving back to the classic downtown vibe with their patio by the riverside & partnering with the nearby restaurants, ice cream shop, and quaint businesses for a great small town feel. Celebrating more than 10 years this company is proving that it's here to stay!
