Got there just as they were opening. We ordered the same, double scoop of butter pecan with chocolate syrup. It was delivered to us in our vehicle parked just outside their door.
It was covered with whipping cream and a Cherry on top.
As usual it was very good.
It is about an hour from our home to their shop. It is worth the trip, ice cream is very good, service is great and prices are reasonable.

Great ice cream and an outstanding concept. You are walking into a 1900s ice cream parlor. Fun, historic and yummy!

This is the cutest little old fashion ice cream parlor. Plenty of icecream and sundae options. They have a candy counter too with a mix of classic and modern candy.

Delicious blast from past

What a find! Delicious ice cream sundaes, shakes and more set in an antique general store. Quaint and fun. Owner really passionate about his business and eye on details—from uniforms to wafer sides to Jimmie sprinkles. Buy some old time candy on way out.

Old time ice cream parlor
sep. de 2018
Growing up I remember independent ice cream shops that generally sold an assortment of penny candies and other kid attracting stuff. They have given way to chains selling scores of flavors. Lauber’s represents that old time feel and is loaded with historical ice cream shop items and other items that you might remember from your youth or if you are young may ask what is that. If you visit the East Troy Railroad, cross the track and take a look.

Across the track of the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum is J. Lauber's Ice Cream Parlor. When you approach and walk in , there is a feeling of bygone times. The ice cream is delicious in a cone or a dish, especially on a hot humid day. A nice place to visit whil waiting for a train.

Awful service great ice cream

Came here with my husband and parents. My mom and I got here first as my husband and Dad were on the train meeting us. We walked in and were told sit anywhere we will wait on you. Ok great. We sat down and were promptly forgotten about. After about 10 minuets we finally got one of the 5 teenagers attention. They were all in a group talking by the register. We were given menus and barley opened them before they tried to take our order. Asked for a few minutes and again were forgotten about. Finally we ordered. When they brought it out they forgot spoons. So we asked for spoons for the Sunday and 2 glasses of water. The guy turned around walked the 3 steps back to the counter and just stood chatting with the other workers. By this time the service has been so ridiculous my mom and I were laughing at the craziness. Few minutes goes by. By now my ice cream is melting all over as I can’t eat it. We finally get his attention and he says omg spoons and water! He brings them over and says I’m so sorry I was very confused about your request! Lol. My dad and husband arrive. Sit down. No one acknowledges them or asks if they would like anything. We fill them in on our story and they decide to just skip even trying to get food. The kid comes and drops off the check. Never says a word. Never asks if they wanted anything or if we needed anything. Literally dropped it and silently walked away. For as good as the ice cream was I still won’t go back. I realize these are kids but I started working at 14 and I was never that incompetent. Sad because the place has huge potential.

Live History while Eating Ice Cream
jul. de 2018 • Familia
Order an old fashioned ice cream treat while sitting next to an apothecary from the late 1800s. Eat your treat served in a glass dish right out of the early 1900s and have it served by a waiter in a white shirt, wearing a bow tie! Hand dipped ice cream or a treat with a name like the Timber Lee, the Mitten, or the Dusty Road are all on the menu along with old fashioned sodas mixed while you watch! Prices are moderate, servings are large and the history is unbelievable!
