All you are able to do at the Lalaurie Mansion is to look at it from the outside. We looked at it and left- not much you can say about it.

We were on a ghost tour and they never came by this place so we had to see it for ourselves. Of course, we had read the stories of Delphine Lalaurie so we didn't need a tour. I liked how they dressed up the old place for Halloween because there'd be not much to see, otherwise.

Cool to see the house but wish you could’ve went inside. Would love to know more of the history as well. Most of our information on the mansion came from a separate tour.

Desribed as the the most haunted home in New Orleans, it is just a house on a quiet-ish street. Nothing out of the ordinary happened as we visited. Just wanted to see it, hoping there would be something spooky, but nope!

This is a nice house to see. I has quite the chilling history that adds to the ambiance. Better to see at night if you ask me.

We visited the famous mansion during an evening Haunted History Tour, but spent almost no time there so we went back during the day. Of course the mansion is not open for tours, but did find it interesting that it was once owned by Nicholas Cage!

LaLaurie Mansion is considered one of the most haunted locations in the French Quarter. You can find many websites full of information about the home and its’ past residents.
Point of interest only, as the home is privately owned. Whether you are on a paid walking tour or doing your own exploring, it is worth a quick stop. The mansion is located at the intersection of Royal and Governor Nicholls Street.

It's a beautiful landmark, but not unlike many of the historic structures you'll come across in the French Quarter. Tours are not allowed inside.

What a beautiful mansion. While on a tour we visited the mansion and learned of the amazing and terrible history of the beautiful home. It isn’t open to the public, but still you must go by and see the beauty of it, if only from the outside.

Bella palazzina di 3 piani, in origine erano due con aplomb, dall'altro lato della strada ottimi sandwich, in passato casa degli orrori della Lalaurie, che aveva camera di tortura sopra la cucina, dove dopo un incendio trovarono 6 uomini di colore appesi a uncini nella pelle del torace e schiena, in vari stati di mutilazione, un uomo di colore con un cranio fissurato molto aperto che anche se ancora vivo, aveva la ferita da cosi tanto tempo che vermi si cibavano della carne morta, e magari per questo sopravviveva, ed una bambina morta chiusa dentro una scatola di 33cm per lato, cubica, sommariamente ossa frantumate e stipata li dentro. Casa infestata da fantasmi, tanto che diversi occupanti dopo l'incendio che vide la famiglia Lalaurie scappare prima per New York, poi prosegui per la Francia, a Parigi, dove vissero felici fino alla morte, senza dover essere processati per i massacri perpetrati. Nicolas Cage la compro', ma dopo una salatissima multa da €6'000'000, gli venne espropriata, e adesso e' di proprieta' di un manager di una societa' petrolifera che non lascia nessuno entrare e visitare, e non si sa' cosa accada li dentro quando lui e' presente, visto che non riceve visite e nessuno quindi racconta come sia all'interno o cosa succeda. Panini fantastici dal paninaro di rimpetto. Parte interessante per gli amanti dell'occulto a New Orleans.

You cannot tour the house because it is a private residence owned and lived in by the current owners. You can go on French Quarter tours that go by the house and is talked about. The best tour of the Quarter is given by the Friends Of the Cabildo. You get your tickets at the Cabildo in Jackson Square. Go on line to check availability and times.

The original LaLaurie mansion burnt down after she left, the house on site is a replacement.

The house is privately owned & is being used as a residence. No tours are available except for the ghost tours on the sidewalk outside which tell stories about slave girls walking on the third floor roof and jumping to their death which would be creepy if in fact the house was only a two story abode in Mdme. Lalaurie's time
