We stumbled upon this little hidden gem of a room while walking around. It is one small room, but full of so much interesting hisotry! The young lady who showed us the exhibits and explained everything was so knowelegable and told it in such a fasinacting way that I was truly enthralled the whole time! A must see, it only takes about 15 minutes.

Yes, it is a very small museum, so what? Every single piece inside is absolutely fascinating. I was lucky enough to be the only visitor so Αργυρώ was so nice to talk me through the different exhibits. Highly recommended!

The museum is literally one room, which is down some steps off a side street in the Old Town and whilst the exhibits and the talk from the curator were interesting, I was hoping for a little more to be honest. I think it's still worth a visit if you have 10-15 minutes spare or you have an interest in this sort of thing.

Fascinating little museum, would highly recommend. It took us a while to find it as the location on Apple Maps was wrong (I have reported this to Apple as an issue). One of the local shop owners said that the museum had moved and we managed to find it using Google Maps. There was no entrance fee, just a donation requested. The guide was very knowledgable and she demonstrated and explained each of the exhibits. Our favourites were the Greek alarm clock and the cup that prevented (and penalised) overfilling. We probably only spent 15 minutes there but will remember it for a long time. Just brilliant!

Rhodes Island in October is wonderful. Reliable sun, still warm but not oppressively hot and much less crowded. The sea is crystal clear ( boat trip with snorkelling highly recommended ) and the beaches clean.
Rhodes Old Town itself is a gem, a heavily fortified city wall encloses a warren of little streets crammed with historic buildings. There are many cafes to stop for a coffee or a meal and shops a plenty to buy souvenirs or clothes. For a light lunch try Gyros, a delicious pitta bread wrap of grilled chicken and / or pork with salad, Tzatzki served with fries. Sadly it's nowhere near as cheap as it used to be since Greece joined the Euro, but prices are reasonable out of peak season.
If History is your thing look out for multi museum passes to make a good saving. We were amazed at how advanced in their arts and crafts they were over 2000 years ago. Finally don't miss the small but crammed Museum of Ancient Greek Technology just outside the Sea Gate. Here you will see many piece of amazing technology from 300BC to 300AD including a gravity powered robot waitress that navigated between tables and served wine and water and a telegraph system based purely on water to allow battle commands to be sent between hillsides!

It was very interesting and informative. It was a pace of understanding that even children could follow(older). It opened our eyes on the unique progress that Ancient Greek technology and invention has made for the world.

Beautiful, interesting museum. It's kind of hidden, not many people know about it. It is worth the visit because it provides useful information and the guide was good. I suggest it!

The display is well done and all explanations are bilingual Greek and English. The cashier acts as a guide as well and demonstrated some of the objects and was happy to answer questions. I particularly liked the first clock and the science behind the first alarm clock. It is quite expensive for one room though (€7 per person) and if cheaper it would have certainly deserved 5 stars.

This was really interesting and enjoyable. The guide in the museum was very enthusiastic and showed us how some of the ancient Greek inventions worked. Did you know that the Greeks invented the first vending machine? Neither did we, until we visited here!

We really liked the small but very interactive museum.
Although there is only one room, there is a lot to discover and learn.
We were told something about each exhibit.
We learned more in about 45 minutes than in several hours in many other museums
