This is such a lovely place
Rescued goats that seem to be very happy and well looked after.
Friendly staff.
The cafe served a selection of drinks and snacks and there was vegan options available.
We had a lovely time and we are looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Had a great time today visiting. Our second visit and well worth it again. Great to see the animals so happy and friendly and to have such a nice experience.

We visited the sanctuary today 7.10.23 with my three children and were greeted and welcomed, we discovered a lovely tearoom with light snacks and hot/cold drinks all at a reasonable price. Members of staff were very happy to help and answer any questions and made us feel welcome on our first visit, which resulted in us adopting a goat. We were also greeted by two volunteers at a goat feeding area who shared knowledge of the collar system as well as their names and were very friendly. We highly recommend this for a day out with a good cause and all the animals are happy and well looked after. We will visit again.

My friend and I visited on a whim today, and we were blown away! Really loved our visit. Clearly well loved and cared for animals and friendly welcoming staff. It was clearly explained how to feed the animals and which animals to avoid.

We enjoyed a coffee in the sun before feeding the goats, then spending some time in the paddock just enjoying being around the animals.

Loved meeting the friendly, cheeky, inquisitive residents!
It’s a suggestion of £4 donation to enter but we gladly donated a little more, as it all goes back to the animals.
Wonderful, quiet place to enjoy the sun and some refreshments.

We will definitely be back.

We are a family of five . The sanctuary is tucked away down a Kentish lane but it’s easy to find.
Parking is free.
A goat enthusiast / keeper explained the system with different coloured collars for the goats and what these meant. Donations of £4 per person is suggested.
There are goats of every shape , colour and size. You can wander around with the goats although you have to watch where you tread. This is a farm and it is to be expected. On site is a small cafe to buy refreshments and you can buy food for the goats there. The facilities are quite basic and there is somewhere to wash hands / sanitiser which is advisable if you stroke the animals.
I’m not a fan of goats but by the end of the visit I had made friends with a large gentle Anglo Nubian Goat and I now feel more confident in their proximity.. our grand children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Amazing little trip. Bit off the beaten track . But well, sign posted. Free car parking. We were met by a guy who loved his job, very welcoming and great knowledge of the goats. All goats are free roaming, red colllar don't approach. Purple collar dont feed. Yellow collar goats are for adoption. You can buy food in the tea room, but you need to stay outside the fences to feed the goats. Tea room and gift shop, on site with information about the goats, had washing station and toilets available. No entrance fee, but they ask for a £4 donation, this can be done online. Card payments taken. Goats experiences, adoption leaflets available. Highly recommended for a couple of hours or just sit on the benches provided and goat watch !!

Spent a lovely couple of hours at this wonderful sanctuary. The staff were so friendly and helpful explaining about the goats and which ones we were able to feed .
It was lovely that the goats had a quiet area to go to if they wanted to move away from the public and plenty of free space to roam. The whole set up is designed with the animals at the forefront of their minds.
A lovely cafe with drinks and snacks at reasonable prices was also available.
Please visit this sanctuary and ensure that you donate to their cause while there. Entry is free but they do rely on donations to keep the goats in the luxury they so deserve.

This sanctuary was amazing. We could see that the goats were well cared for, fed, watered and cleaned but also looked after. We enjoyed our walk around meeting the goats and it was lovely that our doggy (on leash) was welcome in as well. We got the opportunity to hand-feed the goats and ended the trip adopting one! Staff were polite and friendly. Definitely recommend

Just wanted to thank the team at Buttercups Sanctuary for having Ollie and I during our 'Goat Keeper for the morning' experience on Sat 1st July. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning and all the goats were so friendly!

We were greeted in the staff room by the friendliest of staff who made sure we had everything ready for our busy morning. Our first section of the experience was led by Ben who was extremely formative, sharing plenty of facts about the goats and the background of each one we fed! We had so much fun taking in all of our surroundings during the tour and it was fantastic to see the expressions of the residents eager for their breakfast! Thank you Ben for taking the time to answer all of our questions and explaining each element of the routine so thoroughly!

After a tea break we were met by Cameron who had fantastic stories of the residents while we groomed, assisted with medicals and prepared meals for the next day (assisted by the gorgeous tripod feline Shadow!). We then got to chance to choose a goat to walk however we were completely overwhelmed with choices so we had Cameron recommend handsome Ceasar (which I walked) and Voss (Which Ollie walked). We couldn't stop smiling as they joyfully sped around the field, rearing to eat the tree branches and finding left over snacks on the track.

Some of our favourite goats included: Dougal, Hector, Albus, Winston, Maggie, Elvis, Bill, Pooky, Millie.. and the list goes on! There were so many lovely goats who captured our hearts.

Thank you all again for having us, it's one of the best Christmas presents we have ever received!

A lovely relaxing place. Great to see the Goats just roaming free. Plenty of willing goats looking for a gentle fuss, plus the opportunity to feed some of them if you purchase a bag of goat feed for £1. Definitely worth the visit.
