Staff. Delfina is extremely helpful always looking after us, Minerva very nice and polite. I'm so gratefull my cousin was sick and both of them look after her like family. The Hostel is nice and very clean, healthy breakfast. You are allow to keep drinks in the hostal fridge but the fridge needs to be cooler, so many things needs to be improved like announcements to all tourist when they hang towels outside do not take other tourist towels. Our room nice for 4 people with AC and private shower. I found bit expensive to add extra person for a mattress on the floor. Milton the owner is very helpful, facilitate me some money the last day. Rincon Del Mar is nice place to stay all the other islands are very close you can visit in 1 day, the ocean it is crystal clear in Tintipan and Mucura. My advise to all tourist be mentally prepare to see so many things completely different from European beaches but friendless from my Colombian people it's fantastic, also sea food is practically the only food you find there. They are not very professional but so kind and language barrier is one issue, please be patience, our culture is nothing to compare with others, relax and enjoy. It's secure islands in this area. Disliked · Fridge not working properly, and near by lots of rubbish, hope 1 day the authorities do something about it.

After driving for more than 12 hours, what a surprise when arriving and thet saying the reservation was not respected because they didn't check often hostelworld. He just returned the reservation money and sent the cleaning lady to find something, but being super High season, all we got was a very uncomfortable random dorm..

El Hostel es chico, la limpieza es impecable. Las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado. Incluye desayuno. El personal (Delfina) es muy cordial y está siempre atenta a tus necesidades. Fuimos en época de "trabajo remoto" y el internet fue estupendo. El único reparo que tengo es que las camas son demasiado blandas y hace que tu espalda no pueda descansar adecuadamente.

I revise my previous good review after unprofessional and respectless behavior from the manager Milton.
I was informed by Milton about the tours offered and booked both the night tour and the island tour with snorkeling. The guy with the boat didn't have a mask for me and quickly drove to borrow one from a friend. This mask was broken and I couldn't enjoy the coral reef which was the reason for me to go on the tour. I still enjoyed the islands and the swim in the turquoise waters but felt disappointed. On arrival in the afternoon I told Milton and he got almost angry at me, telling me that this is politics in the village and he has nothing to do with it. He pointed at the waiver that says I'm responsible for services bought outside the hostel. Ridiculous! I bought both tours with him, even paid his wife via PayPal since I didn't have enough cash. When I asked for a discount or some kind of compensation he just said I should talk to the driver, called him and wked away. Milton avoided me for the coming 15 hours, didn't smile or even say goodbye, obviously uncomfortable with the situation. If he would have at least said sorry it would have meant a lot but he just kept on telling me how much he is working and that it's not his responsibility. My 2nd day was therefore terrible, I was the only guest and the atmosphere was very hostile. Ruined my stay in Rincon.
I recommend Hostel Blue Sea, where I should have stayed. Same price, rooms more airy, professional staff and you can pay with card.

We've spent 5 nights in the Folatun Hostal, two of them in the 4 bed dorm and three of them in a private room. Both room were spacious and the beds were comfy. While the private room had aircon, the dorm had two fans but was a little hot at night. Milton, our host, was super-nice and helped us with everything. We even received a welcome drink! The food, which is cooked by his italian wife, is delicious and comes with a good price. The breakfast is included and better than average in colombian hostels.
All in all i would totally recommend this hostel and not hesitate to stay here again!
