Christine, you have been a wonderful host for our last stop on the Border Abbeys Way! We are forever grateful for the dinner you provided, the walk had been somewhat longer (!!!) than we had anticipated, and we arrived soaked and hungry. Both were quickly sorted upon arrival! As far as UK showers go, yours is wonderful! I enjoyed being a farm hand for 5 minutes, won’t mind helping out again on my next visit! Oh, and the coffee was very good and breakfast excellent! Can’t wait to be back for some horse riding! Thank you so much!
We visited as a family for two nights. On arrival (and throughout our visit) the owner was helpful and welcoming....a real cheerful greeting producing tea and pancakes to settle us in. The rooms were clean, comfortable and traditional but with a single toilet/shower room serving the two available bedrooms. Views from the upstairs windows were beautiful. The breakfast area had TV, a fridge and hospitality goodies with a pleasant sitting area to relax in. A full breakfast from porridge to fresh brewed coffee was served to order. The property is immediately adjacent to the working farm rearing pedigree lambs and was easy to locate in proximity to the town of Selkirk.. If in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay at Sunnycroft.
Stayed for the night with my husband and the owner was friendly/welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. It may have been awkward had there have been another couple or person staying as it's a shared bathroom and livingroom. But it was only us so was a great break.
I had a great time staying here for a week, there was lots for me to do as there always is at Sunnycroft. My fifth year of coming up, and Christine’s breakfast does not disappoint , the best bacon I’ve ever had. Really like the new stables as well!
