Found this lodge after watching the main lodge building being constructed on the Building Alaska show on TV. Called to book a visit and found out it was over 1 1/2 years before they had an opening. We stuck it out and the wait paid off. Albeit, not ideal weather the last week in August, we still had a blast and brought home a good amount of Halibut, Salmon, and Black Bass filets. Tim, the owner was fantastic to work with, especially given our lack of experience saltwater fishing. Getting your own boat was outstanding. Weather permitting, we got to go where we wanted, when we wanted to go. We had 11 whale (humpback and orca) sights during our trip. The staff were all amazing and catered to our every need. The food was plentiful and really good. We will be back!!!
It was our first time to a fishing lodge and this did not disappoint. Even with all the crummy Covid things going on, we were still able to go on our trip and have a great time. The rooms were super comfy and well appointed. The food was great and the staff - well I felt like we had known them before! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They land your boat, clean all your fish and all the blood on the deck and bring it right back to you if you want to go out again for the afternoon! The week we were there went by all too fast! Even though we (my son and I) fished 8-10 hours a day - I am ready to go back. They only thing I would recommend is bring LOTS of warm clothes! I thought I did - but still had a couple of days were I was a bit chilled. We came home with 100# of nicely freezer packed halibut, lingcod and rockfish filets! YUMMY!…
That's a quote from owner Tim Comer about his vision for this incredible lodge located right on beautiful Sea Otter Sound. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you feel you're part of the family. Everyone on staff knows your name and is truly interested in fulfilling Tim's, and his beautiful wife Murtie's, goal. Together they manage it very well. The lodge itself is a comfortable, well appointed floating paradise with great food, first class accommodations and a positive vibe. Wildlife abounds. Whales, sea otters, eagles and of course fish. You can self guide using up-to-date gear, boats and equipment or hire a guide to show you how it's done. You'll have a great time catching fish. We did. We'll be back.
Iv'e been coming to Alaska for over 20 years and by far this is the best lodge my wife and I have stayed at. The fishing the food and the people are the best. The rooms are really nice. The boats and the equipment are the best!!!
No debe buscar otro sitio!
