The cabins are small and simple, but they were perfect to stay in for ice fishing rather than driving to Cadillac from 90 minutes away in the early morning. And only $89 for the two of us. Bait shop is convenient and well stocked. We will definitely be staying here again.

Owners are very friendly and helpful. Bait shop is very convenient. Cabins are old, and not huge, but are also only a stones throw to the lake. It was great to have a dock for the boat. We will definitely stay again!

This is a great little cabin for us to ice fish. It has 2 bedrooms a bathroom with a shower and a full kitchen. The first cabin we had, the bed was super uncomfortable but we didn’t want to switch rooms as it faced the road. The second cabin we stayed in the bed was fine. This isn’t a luxurious “motel” by any means. It’s old and outdated and for someone was is pretty selective, it didn’t seem to bother me either time we’ve stayed. Honestly we didn’t spend much time in it. We wanted something on the lake we could walk right out of the door and on the lake and this was it! Also the bait shop is on the property so that is helpful. Bathroom shower pressure and temperature of the water was prefect.
We ate pasties from across the street that were pretty hearty and good.
If you aren’t looking to spend much time in the cabin I say book it but I wouldn’t suggest bringing your family here for a summer vacation.

Clean good sized motel room with lake view. Wish there were shade trees to sit by water. Disappointed staff did not wear masks. Mom and pop cottages, vintage up north michigan. If you want fancy, don't go.

This property is marketed as a beachfront destination for families, fisherman and water enthusiasts. But this property has one of the worst set of sleeping cabins in the area. First, you must go to the bait shop to check in and fight with chain smoking fisherman buying their bait for their fishing excursions. It is not professional at all. You have a square foot of counter space to sign your registration card and credit card slip. This is just the start.
You park in front of your cabin on sand filled driveway. You are greeted with a one gallon coffee container on the porch filled with stinky cigarette butts. Then you open a screen door (that is installed backwards) and fight to get enough room to unlock the door. The cabin is straight from the 1950's and has not been updated since. It looks quaint, but everything is falling apart.
You walk into a two bedroom cabin that includes a kitchenette, a living room and a bathroom. The furniture is straight from the Salvation Army store and you are not quite sure you want to sit on it. For one of the chairs, it was necessary to have furniture slip cover to hide who knows what. The floors are covered with industrial carpet from the 50's. There is not a flat section on the floors and told forget to tell the kids to bring the skateboards so they can have their own skateboard parks on the inside of the cabin. You feel like you are drunk just walking to the kitchen. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom actually use metals cabinets that are ancient - It is time for a garage sale. The gas heater is right in front of the front door and again is from the 50's. It is a beast and can give you a burn if you walk into to it. Oh you will walk into it. Your personal hot water heater is in the kitchen and is tilted and visible right next to the sink (yes out in the open). The ventilation pipe is separated from the ceiling and I am wondering when the first carbon poisoning is going to happen. Plumbing fixtures are loose in the kitchen and the bathroon. Bring tools!!!! Oh - the water must be well water and not filtered as it tastes like it has sulfur in it. Can you say rotten eggs. Even our dogs wouldn't drink it. The kitchenette is filled with enough 1950 Correl dishes to to have a family fish fry - the dishes never break, that is why they are still there.
Oh, the bathroom. Can you say cramped. When you sit to do your duty, you squeeze past the sink sit down with your knees below the sink and stare at a wall on a few feet away. The shower is horrible. It does give you warm water - remember the water heater is just behind the wall next to the kitchen. But you are washing with sulfur water and you rush to get out. The shower floor sinks nearly 3 inches from the sides to the middle drain. It tries to create a water vortex before it enter the waste pipe. But you can't comfortably stand without thinking you are drunk.
The interior is ancient, is falling apart and hasn't been painted in a long time. There are wood chips, scratches and dents all over the interior. I have been in hunting cabins with more style and quality. Everything is falling apart. I actually had to manually pull up on my bedroom door to close it. Remember uneven floors everywhere.
Ok is does come with a beach and a dock for your boat on lake. But this is more of fraternity getaway than anything that qualifies as quality lake living. No air conditioning.
We had two dogs. We were charged $20 each. Highway robbery. When you do the math they are charging nearly 3 1/2 hours of work to clean up after your pets. They barely spend an hour cleaning the entire cabin. Rip off!!!!
Why did we stay - it was recommended because dogs were allowed to stay from a friend. Take it from our group, please stay away as far as you can. This is worst cabin/hotel complex in the Cadillac area. I mean it is horrible. I am pretty forgiving, but this unit is the worst - absolutely lower than low. The cabins need to burned down. Please do not stay there = Please, Please, Please
