This lodge caters to school groups, family group bookings (reunions, special birthdays etc), and groups of people seeking a challenge. The grounds are equipped with a High Ropes course, Low Ropes course, Obstacle course, Pool and many other activities for group bonding over physical challenges. We have just come back from a Camps Australia event for active over 55 year-olds, held at Ferngully Lodge. The owners, who run the ropes course etc, are highly trained professionals, whose responsibility at all times, is the safety of their guests, and I easily entrusted my life and safety, to them. Our group of approximately 30, 55 to 83 year-olds, bonded in a very short time (most of us strangers) and helped, supported and encouraged each other to get the most out of the event, and the best out of each other. The location is true to the lodge's name, being surrounded by a forest of trees and ferns, and the grounds are lush and grassy, with lovely walks in the surrounding area or just on the property. The meals provided are tailored to the group's needs, and we had very hearty, nutritious food to keep up our strength and energy. You won't go hungry! Accommodation is in the way of all camps of this ilk : cabins with multiple bunks. Bring your sleeping bag, but sleep comfortably on a bed in a room, rather than outdoors.!
