We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on its third weekend of being open. The parking is more than adequate. The room was excellent; good size room, very comfortable king bed, a modern type of window shades that were excellent, a very comfortable shower, plenty of counter space in the bathroom, an excellent TV, sufficient room for storage if you wish to unpack. We encountered two problems. First, they did not have carts to take luggage to the room. Second, the breakfast was inadequate. They did not have anyone to prepare the hot food. However, I normally eat a cold breakfast. They had limited fruit and did not have bananas. They did not have bagels. They only had two dry cereals and one was Frosted Flakes. The latter is fine for kids but not for adults. Hopefully, they will get these issues resolved as they go forward.…
Dayshift front desk staff was very condescending to me and my party, made us feel like we were doing something wrong and didn't belong there. I've stayed at some "GREAT" hotels...This is not one of them!! They need hospitality training!
Stayed here last weekend in Harrisonburg. So happy this new hotel is open and the location is perfect. Pool was closed but the team did say it will be open when I return in October. My family is driving and we stop in this area a few times a year. We will be back!
