Firstly, let us begin by commenting on the positives, few they may be, for what is to follow will pull the carpet underneath the glittering Instagram friendly image of the hotel. The hotel design was rustic and charming, resembling a barnyard in rural Europe and all of the details were fine. But we were to find out that all was style without substance. The first issue was that despite being fully booked the Hotel had a poverty of staff, the receptionist had to make drinks and also send us the luggage; The Hotel did not offer room service, not because of Covid restrictions, but because It was “not a policy” despite us having to pay over 25,000 baht ( 700 dollars ) for one night stay. The staff despite being very friendly had no idea what they were doing.. The main issue was to do with hygiene and basic security. We had an emergency at 1 AM for a family frogs, bless their souls, emerged in our room. Doors had been shut for hours making us suspect that the happy congregation was the result of negligence opening doors by housekeeping., we did not take issue with the emergence of this happy frog family but the main issue was that despite many phone calls to reception to contact staff to remove the jumping, bleeding amphibians ( yes I think pappa frog lost a leg) the hotel was consistently unresponsive. We walked to reception area and no one was there. Don’t know if someone was taking a nap or owner was trying to save money but this lack of human presence worried us, we don’t want to imagine what the results would have been if it was a real life or death emergency , btw we also saw the security guard was deep in slumber, his snoring sound could be heard in another village Despite having paid a lot of money in advance we found it both comical, sad and pitiful to stay any longer in our overpriced room with flora and fauna. So we waited until 4 am to find staff that never came and so decided to pack our bags and drive to another hotel by ourselves. The only response we got from the hotel the next day was “sorry and thank you but you owe us 10000 baht in food and beverage” ( Attached: pictures of how we can change and trapped frogs family)…
Stylish 5 star resort with Mountain View. Room 809 or the villa with pool can be perfect for your IG. The place should be good for small family with little kids but not proper for senior citizens. Slippery floor in the bathroom. There are Thai & American breakfast choices but it is not in buffet style. For activities lover, the place may not be the good choices; only swimming pool available.
This hotel is a bit further away from the main spots in Khao yai but is very peaceful. Perched on top of a small hill you do get panoramic views from your villa. The hotel itself is quite small only 10+ rooms so very private but the grounds are very well maintained and we absolutely loved the trees, flowers, and nature surrounding us. The staff were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived and taking care of our every needs. We ate dinner at the restaurant walking in with no expectations but turns out was quite wonderful. The chef even came to greet every table. I would recommend the pool villa as it is stunning. Although it was a bit rainy when we went. I would defnitely return again, I'm more suprised this place hasnt received alot of reviews.
