Lovely apartment, a great place to enjoy the quiet town
Spent a little time in Espinho - I found this worked great for me, on a long or short stay, with this listing I felt well served with what it offers:
- Spacious apartment (building has elevator and apt. has safe for valuables, keypad entry -host can remote assist if u mess up!) on quiet safe street in residential area – 5 – 10 min stroll to beach
- Market(s), restaurants, bakeries and cafes close by/in walking distance (Monday is huge open air market!!)
- Comfortable bed and tasteful furniture (view out through sliding glass doors)
- Equipped (cof./tea, juicer, blender, toaster, hob & oven etc.) sit-in kitchen, spacious bath and (lounging) balcony terrace
- Desk & sofa workspaces with view to terrace/wifi /TV
- Launderette one building away on corner/ or very reasonable same day wash service by host – with ironing!! (by arrangement)
- Linens change/cleaning svc. Incl.
- Town Centre also short walk
- Easy parking on street(s)
>at end of same street – just a few steps away -is a very well appointed market- complete with fish counter, butcher’s and wine/beer/liquors section along with the standard dairy, meal supplies, snacks, coffee, household, etc… pretty complete for a neighborhood market! No need to go further really except maybe for a stop at the bakery/pastry shops as they have more to offer
This lovely and well-furnished apartment is a great place to enjoy the quiet town and beaches of Espinho, or day trips to Porto/Aveiro etc. from the nearby train station.
Located in a residential area, not near any major overcrowded hotel properties or their unsustainable facilities and so perfect for conscientious guests who prefer a real local experience in their own quiet, nice apartment on a typical Espinho street.
The (multi-lingual) host Ricardo is really available and more than happy and ready to accommodate all reasonable requests, as well as to assist with travel (i.e. airport transfer etc.) or if any issues arise during your stay.

good apartment, terrible view
The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable and there are good services ( supermarket, laundrette, cafe,bakery) in the immediate area. The owner responded quickly to provide additional information.
However the view from the small terrace is of a disused house surrounded by an area of rubble, weeds and rubbish and the back of neighbouring apartments. The owner has said after I complained that he has plans to clean up the area and plant trees.
The apartment is 15minutes walk to the beach down featureless streets and the same distance to the train station.
Espinho has amazing sandy beaches and a great boardwalk but little else to attract tourists as it isn't an attractive town to walk around. There are some nice restaurants but in early September , several were closed.

Estuvimos como en casa
Hemos estado una semana en Espinho y todo perfecto Ricardo, el dueño del apartamento, es encantador, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y facilitar información muy valiosa para los turistas El apartamento está genial, ya estamos pensando en volver Sin duda repetiremos

très bon séjour en famille.
l'appartement est fonctionnel, bien placé, bien équipé, proche de la plage, des commerces. La terrasse est très agréable.
très bon contact avec Ricardo avant l'arrivée puis au court du séjour. Très bon accueil.
Nous avons passé 4 jours à Espinho en famille; le marché (immense!) a lieu tous les lundis au bout de la rue.

Excellent stay in a modern flat
I stayed with my wife and little one. This apartment is great for a family with a baby. The host provided a nice baby crib which was very convenient for our stay. It is very big and very well decorated. Everything is brand new and it has free WiFi. It has a great balcony for breakfast. The flat is very close to supermarkets, coffee shops and local restaurants. Within 10 minutes’ walk you are at the beach the main train station. Espinho is a very nice city to spend a few days. There's a Casino if you enjoy losing some money :) and great places for dinner and drinks. It also has nice bars in front of the sea. This was a perfect option to stay during our visit to Porto. It was much cheaper and easier to find a place, then Porto. It's just a 20-minute trip to Porto by train and we felt that if we had booked directly in Porto we wouldn’t have had the peace of mind as we had in Espinho. The owner was very welcoming. He had local fruit and some snacks upon my arrival, which was a very pleasant. He made my stay as friendly as possible, which is a major plus compared to staying at any hotel. I'll definitely stay at his flat again and next time I'll go for a few more days to relax is such a cosy city.

A perfect pet-friendly beach apartment!
This apartment has so much charm... I loved the decoration, the disposition of the furnitures and the cosy balcony, especially in the morning, when having breakfast. I already miss my time there...
The whole apartment is spacious and super clean. The mattress is so confortable and the bed linen are high end product. Felt like sleeping in a 5-star hotel bed.
Espinho is a great town! Everything is reachable on foot, especially the supermarket and bakery which are just one block away. We had a great time walking the dog on the woodpaths along the beach and the sunsets beneath the ocean are an incredible memory we will keep forever! Food is cheap and amazing.
The train station is just a few minutes away, so we took the opportunity to to visit Porto Downtown and Aveiro, which you should not miss.
The host is always available on whatsapp and his suggestions are precious. Thank you Ricardo for your walm welcoming and hosting!

TRES BEL APPARTEMENT !
L'appartement est spacieux, joliment décoré et très fonctionnel ! La terrasse est vraiment très mignonne. Il est un peu excentré mais malgré tout on est à la plage en 10mn à pied et tout en étant au calme. Le lit de la chambre est très confortable et le canapé-lit également. Nous étions 4 (2 adultes + 1 ado + 1 enfant) et c'était parfait pour nous 4. Il n'y a pas une vue extraordinaire car elle donne sur une cours mais c'est tout le charme du Portugal !!! Je recommande vivement :)

Très bien
Appartement très chaleureux, très propre, et avec un équipement neuf et de qualité.
Ricardo est un homme très gentil, il vous donne les clefs de son petit bijoux avec son cœur! Il vous accueille comme ses amis et avec des petites attentions.
Vous pouvez tout faire à pieds: Accès à la plage, vos courses, le casino, le cinéma, les restaurants et la gare pour visiter Porto etc....
Le marché du Lundi à ne pas manquer !
Nous sommes ravis du séjour, nous recommandons cet appartement.
Ce petit nid douillet est idéal pour un couple et bien avec des enfants.(accès wifi parfait)

Para o ano lá estaremos outra vez!
Foi uma excelente estadia, com todas as condições necessárias. Para além da casa estar em boas condições e limpa, o serviço e a receção do administrador foram excelentes orientando-nos em tudo o que precisámos. Situado numa rua muito tranquila, com estacionamento, restaurantes e supermercados por perto e dá para ir a pé para o centro da cidade. Muito bom!

Très bien
Nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement par Isabel, qui a pris le temps de nous renseigner en français sur Espinho.
L'appartement était conforme aux photos, bien agencé et équipé de façon moderne, à 10 min à pied de la plage, à 50m d'un supermarché. L'environnement est calme et sécurisant, et le marché du lundi est à quelques minutes à pied.
Pas de soucis non plus pour le retour des clés, Isabel s'est vraiment adaptée à notre emploi du temps et est restée disponible tout le séjour.
Appartement trsè agréable pour un couple, je vous le recommande.
