Tuscany Forever - is really a magic place, looks exactly the same like fantasy postcard promoting Tuscany region. View is marvelous, apartments: comfortable, design and well equipment. This is not only good place for families but also perfect place for romantic vacation for two, where you can find without any problem your privacy. It has been also great situated, everyday you can visit one of Tuscany famous little cities, buy on a way local products and prepare for you a delicious dinner looking on Tuscany hill. This view will stay with you forever.

Will be good once it's finished
We stayed here for 10 days in late July 2013. This apartment complex has a lot going for it but the owners seem to have moved on to their next property development projects before finishing this one. This is a real pity since it's the last 10% that matters most to paying customers.
First the positives. The apartments are high quality and tastefully furnished. Views of Volterra and surrounding countryside are great. There's a nice swimming pool bordered with rosemary and lavender, with loungers. We often swam at dusk when we had the pool to ourselves and enjoyed the exquisite views to Volterra. The complex is well situated for the main sights in Western Tuscany, 10km from Volterra and roughly one hour's drive from each of Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and San Vincenzo (good beach). [Note: Tuscan roads are slow and twisty - it always takes longer to get around than you think].
However, the 1.5km gravel access road is in such poor condition that a digger was needed to carry out repairs after it was damaged following a large thunderstorm. I feared a puncture every tortuous journey along that bumpy, overgrown road. (Please, please tarmac it !)
As others have pointed out, there's a lack of shade. There are no parasols at the pool (only some loungers have shade) and not all apartments have seats/loungers and shade to sit out. The poolside loungers were often full, even when not all apartments were yet completed. We had to request an outdoor table and chairs so we had somewhere to sit outside near our apartment and our advertised "huge private garden" was non-existent.
In the absence of air con more than one fan is needed for each apartment to keep it cool. We needed to keep the windows shut after dusk to keep the mosquitoes out - as another reviewer mentioned, it's either 'boil or be bitten'.
There was no information for visitors on tips for places to visit, restaurant recommendations etc, which would have been a very simple and effective touch. The on-site manageress made little effort to look after guests (friendliness costs nothing; customer goodwill is extremely valuable).
Overall, you get a sense that the complex is being run as a property investment rather than a tourism business. Cash flow is clearly an issue at this stage, but it will improve when finally finished and if more attention is paid to customers.
