Lovely condo w/ breathtaking views of the Pacific. The condo had every amenity imaginable. We really enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I were thrilled when we walked into the condo the first time...beautiful dark wood and bright colors, two spacious bedrooms and baths, kitchen with everything we could possibly need for our two week stay, comfortable living room and a lanai with THE most exceptional view. Playa Junquillal is a rather quiet and somewhat undiscovered area with amazing beaches. Our beach experience was great and included daily walks to the river mouth early in the morning and just before sunset. A dip in the cool water of the swimming pool was always refreshing after a hot day. Although we usually ate dinner out at one of the nearby restaurants, we stocked the kitchen with a few groceries from the Automercado in Tamarindo or the small mercado in Junquillal. Special treats were fruit smoothies and homemade muffins at the Surf Cafe and wonderful fresh fish dinners at Mundo Milo. We did quite a bit of exploring in our rental car (a rental car is a must) and found the dirt roads rough but interesting and the local people always friendly. We have a deep interest in wildlife and were able to enjoy birding right from the lanai and were lucky enough to see the release of baby Ridley sea turtles directly in front of the condo complex. We enjoyed the seclusion and tranquility of this area and were delighted to walk along the gorgeous beach without feeling crowded. I searched many options for our family to rent in the area and am so glad we stayed in Amy's Oceanfront Brisas del Mar paradise. From the start Amy was very helpful with answering all of my questions and helping with booking. She is impeccable with the upkeep of their condo-everything you could need, with the exception of a surf board, is in the condo. We had the pool and beach almost always to ourselves and enjoyed the tranquility. Daily I walked in both directions and loved watching the waves, crabs, birds and local dogs. The local mercados have a very small selection so stock up in Santa Cruz with food, cash and gas before getting to the condo. We drove to Playa Negra on 2 different days and Playa Avellanas on 2 other days to spend the day in the surf and enjoy the beach restaurants (Lola's!!!!). The beach in front of the condo is beautiful but has lots of rock that can be difficult to navigate with the surf. One rainy day we stayed at the condo all day and.truly loved playing games, reading, watching the storm and swimming in the rain. This was the perfect spot to begin our 2 weeks in Costa Rica to unwind. Thank You Amy!!!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Suenos de Mar in May. We decided to stay here on our entire trip because it was close to the three spots we wanted to visit (Nosara, Playa Negra and Tamarindo). We are so glad we chose this jewel of a condo and jewel of a town to spend our 8 days. The condo is beautiful with mahogany wood everywhere. The kitchen is fully equipped and well stocked with supplies like salt and oil. It even has a dishwasher that we rarely used since it was just the two of us. We had no trouble with the internet. The best part of the condo is the view of this beautiful secluded beach and the pool. We would walk to the estuary and look for shells and rarely did we see another person on the beach. Jonathan, the on site caretaker, was always helpful in anwering any questions we had. There is not much to the town of Playa Juanquillal. I do suggest to do a big shop for groceries in Santa Cruz. There are a few small grocery stores but they do not carry much, but there are quite a few great little restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was Amigos Bar and Grill behind the grocery store. They show surf movies and the food was excellent. Loved the fish and chips. You definitely need a car because the condo is a bit off the beaten path from restaurants and stores. I found the locals to be really nice, most of them spoke some english and they had an 'aloha' spirit that was so heart warming. I can see why there are many x-pats in this community. Amy, the owner, was really helpful in answering all my questions. She told us where to get a rental car, where to shop, and gave us perfect directions to the condo. We drove to Playa Negra nearly everyday (about 15 min drive to look at the surf and visit friends), took a morning to look at Tamarindo (not our thing), and never made it to Nosara, but got half way to Playa Marbella which was beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful vacation, then this is the perfect place. We plan on visiting again.

We stayed in Brisas del Mar for six nights and the property not only met but exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, the beach is only some metres away and the views from the balcony are beautiful. There is a good size swimming pool where we spent many moments swimming and playing. The walks on the beach are highly recommended. Inside the condo everything is perfectly equipped. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and the qualities and decoration throughout the house are to the highest standards. We were able to relax and enjoy all the facilities and there is nothing better than going to sleep listening to the ocean waves ... Both Amy (the owner) and Barbara (property manager) are very helpful and will help you with any questions or request. We highly recommend this property and, if we go back to Costa Rica, we will definitely go there again.
