We enjoyed our stay, swimming in the private pool, and watching the howler monkeys travel from tree to tree.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Out of Office. There was a family of monkeys that visited us regularly and we were serenaded by the birds each night. The place is well equipped with everything you could possibly need and we hired one of the recommended chef’s; Jack Paul (highly recommend) to cook for us twice! Great place to relax and enjoy nature!

We had a great experience, the place is very peaceful and tranquil to recharge. The house is very modern and nicely decorated. Our only complaint will be that the internet is terrible.

What a beautiful home! We loved the layout and all the top of the line appliances, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms had plenty of room and we loved the rain shower heads. The property is completely private and the pool was perfect! What a beautiful view! Monkeys and parrots daily-we had an amazing time! Thank you!

We love Costa Rica and have visited its various regions many times, but return mostly to the Nicoya Peninsula for its beautiful uncrowded beaches, endless scenic backroads and friendly people. In early 2020, we decided to take our two grown children and their young families to Junquillal. The Out-of-Office Villa in Tierra Pacifica Estates was our choice for accommodations; the villa looked great on the VRBO site and we were even more impressed upon our arrival and meet-up with the Property Manager, Brian. Brian went through the villa's attributes with us in detail, explaining all the operating features and appliances. The villa is fully equipped with everything one could possibly need: a modern kitchen with all the built-in fixtures and accessories (luxury expresso and regular coffee makers, stove top, oven, mixers, utensils, etc., etc....and enough stock condiment items so that you needn't rush to the grocery store right away. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are air-conditioned and spacious with king beds, fully equipped ensuites; each with an entertainment centre and and walk-out terrace. We wanted for nothing. The downstairs living area has an abundance of couch seating and a fully equipped entertainment centre with SAT TV (great for kids in the early morning) and portable bluetooth speakers. Just outside is the poolside lounging area where we spent the bulk of our time when at the villa. The infinity pool is absolutely gorgeous, safe for kids and a great spot from which to view the local wildlife. Butterflies, birds and iguanas were consistent visitors, all providing delight for the kids. We were visited twice by a troop of 8 howler monkeys. Tierra Pacifica Estates is well designed; the lots are large and private with a minimal amount of vegetation removal to accommodate construction. This leaves the mature trees in place to preserve the coastal forest ecosystem and maintain the wildlife in proximity. The Estate is secured 24/7 and we had no concerns regarding our children's safety. The villa is beautifully designed; truly a pleasure to behold. It is well-located in walking distance to Playa Junquillal and an abundance of choice restaurants and other services. It's about a 25 minute drive to Tamarindo on good roads. I can't say enough; the owner Loreta was so very pleasant to work with and responded quickly when contacted. The Property Manager Brian was gracious and instantly responsive to any queries. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary by bringing our family to Costa Rica. We were lucky enough to book the Out of Office Villa for the second half. The first half we stayed near Playa Hermosa, which was beautiful. PH is far more developed and busy, however. OoO is perfect If you want a more tranquil and peaceful location. Tamarindo is approximately a 30 min drive, or a little longer if you want to take the more adventurous/scenic drive on dirt roads. These roads are not difficult to navigate. Dirt roads with less traffic and much more scenic. Tamarindo is much more of a CR beach town with all of the restaurants, shops, and tourist shops. We would highly recommend Breaking Bread bakery for breakfast or lunch. OoO Villa exceeded our expectations upon arrival. I was skeptical of the photos on the website. The Villa was exactly what is shown in the photos, and more. I know the description states that it is a gated community, but we didn’t realize how beautiful the overall acreage of Tierra Pacifica is. There are a small number of homes with a lot of open forest/land between properties. It felt like we had a private estate. The market just to the west of the gated entrance is excellent as well. There is a better variety of groceries, wine and liquor compare to the other nearby markets. The quality of the OoO Villa, pool/gardens, and the furnishings are like nothing we have seen in any rental property. Loretta has spared no expense when building the structure and decorating it. It is a modern style, yet still comfortable. The two bedrooms are identical with king beds and air conditioning. The main level is not air-conditioned, but with the big windows and doors open it allowed for fresh air. It did get warm but that is to be expected in January. Brian, the property manager, and the owners were fantastic. We did run into a technology issue when staying at the villa. We reached out to Brian who responded almost immediately. He did everything within his power, including notifying the owners of the issue. They were both very responsive and apologetic. We have rented a number of places in the past, and I would consider myself a very seasoned traveler. It is rare to encounter a property manager (or owner) who responds, with timeliness and sincerity, to the guests as they did. The issue we encountered was not serious, but they did not want it to spoil my family’s experience. It would be a privilege to stay at the OoO again.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Out of Office Villa for a few days before Christmas 2019. The house itself is obviously new and modern, with accurate pictures and description when booking which is always appreciated. But the experience is much, much more - it is difficult to describe, you have to be there! The house is isolated, which is something that you have to fully realize when booking. We LOVED the location: away from the crowds, quiet, immersed in nature. This is a place that you want to constantly enjoy and that is hard to leave, even to hit the beach or go surfing. You can sit on the top patio, walking a full clan of howler monkeys making their way from one end of the property to the other while sipping your coffee. You can silently glide in the pool at night, watching the stars in the clear sky. The whole experience was simply amazing, rejuvenating. Now if you want to leave the house, it's always a bit of an adventure - be prepared! Although the house is inside the secured 'gated community' of Tierra Pacifica, it is a very big area with unpaved, hilly, pot-holed, single lane paths. Walking to the community centre to get to the gym and its magnificient pools is well worth it but a bit of a hike (maybe 1 km) or realistically a short car ride away. Getting groceries is 30-40 minutes away near Tamarindo unless you are fine with the nearby small market for a few essential items. There are a surprising number of fantastic local restaurants that are only a 10-15 minute drive away, some of them can even be accessed by foot with a short 'Beach Access' walk (maybe with a flash light). Now said 'Beach Access' leads to a very quiet part of Playa Junquillal with rip currents where you may be able to enjoy a walk and getting your feet wet - but not suitable for swimming, boogie boarding, snorkelling etc. Finally, the support and 'customer service' from the property owner and from the property manager was OUTSTANDING. We have rented many VRBOs in the past, and this was unexpected and much appreciated. With the given isolation of the house, it was good to have many recommendations, suggestions and responses rapidly. The house comes with a detailed binder with the logistics of running the house and suggestions about activities and restaurants in the area - again, very useful and appreciated. Out of Office Villa is a one-of-a-kind gem in Costa Rica. Enjoy.

This place did what I thought was impossible: made both my partner and me completely happy. On our vacations he chooses to be a luxury resort dweller while I am in search of authentic local experience. And for the first time we were on the same page. This place delivers best of both worlds. The house is brand new and owners clearly put a lot of thought both in the overall design and in the minute details. Open floor plan that is just perfect for family time and for entertaining. Comfortable bedrooms with large windows and balcony with nature view, spacious bathrooms, and all the amenities you might need. If you are a fan of modern, clean design, especially the European flavor of it, you will be in heaven. Lots of little touches made us feel extra luxurious: the fancy Italian espresso maker, beautiful dishes and silverware, custom made furniture. Yep, I could live that life every day. The best feature of the house is the infinity pool spanning the entire width of the villa. The location is very private, no other house in sight, so if you are travelling sans kids you might choose to skip the swimsuits;-) About the location: Away from the usual touristy Costa Rica, the small village is as real as they come. People are super friendly and the whole place feels laid back and unrushed. Local restaurant owners will be happy to chat with you. Gorgeous, long beach is a short walk away. While we were there, we saw hardly any people and it felt like we had the whole place all to ourselves. However, there are strong rip currents and even for a good swimmer it is safer to stick to the pool laps. The location and the villa are perfect for a relaxing and out-of-the-usual-touristy way relaxation. As for house management: everything was well organized, property manager was in contact with us before we came and greeted us at the community gate. She showed us around and was very responsive when we called her with any questions. But basically left us alone and did not bother us for the entire stay. The only people that came to the house are gardeners (once a week) and pool maintenance people (three times a week). At the entrance to the gated community, there is a grocery store and you can get all your basics there. Of course you can skip cooking altogether as there are several local restaurants to choose from. In summary, this was one of our best vacations ever. We slept better than we remember, felt happy and rested. We did not want to leave.

Out of Office Villa is an amazing property in a quiet, private area. You can tell that the villa was built with love, care and attention to details. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay and it felt like home. The villa is very spacious, every finish is of the highest quality. Moreover, the wildlife right on the property was impressive. We saw iguanas, howler monkeys and parrots without leaving the house and while enjoying a beautiful and relaxing landscape. We definitely will be back.
