I stayed here between Xmas and New Year's 2014 with my boyfriend.
The house is great. Very thoughtfully set up. The grounds around the house are beautiful. Getting the key, etc., was easy.
We considered inviting friends but decided to keep it just the two of us, which ended up being the right call. The house is not large and I think some of the spaces (e.g. the deck) would be a little intimate/cozy for more than two or three people. The pool is quite small, which in looking at the pictures should have been evident to me before booking. I'm more of a dipper than a swimmer so this didn't bother me, but you'd be hard pressed to do any proper swimming in this pool.
The kitchen is very well-equipped, which we very much appreciated.
I'm giving the house four stars because I checked with the owner prior to booking regarding noise level and was told the house was 'Extremely' quiet. While the house is sited in a private location, some sounds (chickens, dogs, voices, crying babies) do carry from neighboring properties. There was also one night when some loud music was playing down the valley and it was audible in the bedroom as we were trying to go to sleep. I didn't find any of the sound egregious but was slightly disappointed in light of the information we'd received prior to making the reservation.
Potential renters should be aware that getting to the house requires driving down a rustic dirt track and navigating a couple of gates and also potentially some cows. I liked this but some people (e.g. my boyfriend) found it tiresome.
Overall, a great place.

Thank you for the mostly positive review, albeit 8 months after your stay. We routinely have two couples or a family of four stay in the house. We have NEVER had anyone complain or suggest that the deck or any other area is too small for a party of 4. Additionally, the pool is clearly a plunge pool and is not advertised as a lap pool . As far as the noise level is concerned I'm not sure how to respond. Vieques is not Gilligan's Island as there are phones, lights, motor cars and many luxuries here. There is also electricity which people can use to play music. The house is extremely private but ambient noise can be heard anywhere. This is, after all, an island villa, not a soundproof recording studio.

Great Villa in a beautiful tranquil location!!
We just got back from a week in Vieques. We loved this villa for its tranquil setting and excellent interior/exterior living spaces! The views are spectacular and the house has every amenity you may want or need! The breezes will keep you very comfortable and the bugs away, which is great! I would also like to add that the beds are very comfortable, which I find as a frequent traveler is rare in a rental home for some reason.
Both the owner and property manager are excellent to work with and extremely responsive. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge!
The location is a quick 5-10 minute drive down to the beaches some excellent restaurants.
I have been to Vieques several times now in the last few years and this by far is the best place we have rented.

Spectacular Stay at Casa Angular
My family and I have been coming to Vieques for more than 15 years, but until recently, we never had the pleasure of staying at Casa Angular. The property is spectacular. The grounds offer total privacy, wonderful views, and easy access to the island's beaches and towns. This is our favorite area in Vieques by far. The house is perfect. Well laid out with two bedrooms on either side of a central living/dining/kitchen area, it has every amenity one could want. The terrace/pool is a private oasis after a day at the beach, or to enjoy the stars at night.
The owner, Mark, was extremely responsive to any inquiries we had, and once again we had the pleasure of having Colleen as our property manager. She is by far the best on the island.
My family and I highly recommend Casa Angular. We definitely plan on returning to the island, and this home is now our first choice.

Beyond our expectations
This was the perfect spot for a relaxing week surrounding our son's wedding. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, his property manager is a gem, and the experience was just wonderful. As for the home itself, it was everything we had hoped.
You can see the beautiful view and well appointed amenities by looking at the Casa angular website. What you can't see is the attention to every detail that we so appreciated.
Everything we needed was readily available. It was clean, comfy, and we will be back soon.

This is the most perfect vacation home we have ever rented!
This is our second consecutive year staying in Casa angular. It is a beautiful house with a perfect location, beautiful view, and beautifully landscaped. The home has everything needed to enjoy our stay. Very private and peaceful, there is nothing better than to wake up in Casa angular and let another fabulous day in Vieques unfold.

The best getaway/hideout ever!
My wife and I have been to Vieques many times, but until now have not found a house that we would want to rent twice. Casa angular is stunning, and really is as shown in the photos on this website. It is remote, secluded, private, yet only a ten minute drive from Esperanza, on of the two town centers on the island. The house is very well-appointed with high quality furnishings, appliances, and kitchen equipment. The house itself is well laid out architecturally, but it is the attractiveness of the furnishings that made it so comfortable. The owners have put a lot of care into their decorating choices. The integrated pool is stunning and will have you debating whether to bother exploring beaches or to just stay at the house and enjoy your own private space. We also found Colleen, Casa angular's property manager, very pleasant and responsive as is the house's owner. They both did all they could to make our stay relaxing and problem-free. If you haven't guessed already, we really enjoyed our stay and are already plotting our return next winter. The house is best for one or two couples, or for a family of four.

Great place, great comfort and care
Casa angular is one of the few contemporary properties on the island. Its two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are placed on two sides of the living room and patio, making it perfect for sharing with another couple, or keeping kids away. It is a perfectly safe property, with alarm system, gates, etc. It is also convenient distance to the two towns on the island, on other attractions and amenities. Most importantly, both the owner and the local property manager are greatly helpful folks. We highly recommend this property for your Vieques vacation.

A stylish and truly relaxing experience with a step into the Car
We have had the good fortune to stay at Bliss on several occasions; each truly outstanding. The private and rural location with a view of the Caribbean assures a restful and peaceful visit. The villa is very well appoionted and maintained, guaranteeing equal opportuntiy to enjoy all the inside and extensive outside areas have to offer. Reservations, as well as check-in and check-out has always been very easy and well organized.
