8 days of paradise on Vieques=priceless.
We are seasoned travelers who have stayed in many different property types and locations; from high dollar mansions on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta to an 18th century converted girls catholic school/now turned charming villa in downtown Mexico City......and everything in between. On its' own Quinta Jibali is something very special. The modern architecture, the well thought out driveway, the landscape placement, the mango tree, the interesting boulders, the inconspicuous gate/entry, the delightful terrace, the pool, vantage point to the ocean/sky/stars.....all of it comes together so well to create a true WOW factor! If you add in all the unique characteristics of Vieques island (food, people, horses, beaches, bio-illum, jungle, history, culture) the result is nothing short of a superior vacation experience. Adventure, relaxation, and of course privacy/comfort/tranquility. The property setup is designed for a single couple to appreciate. There is a lot of space to spread out for sure. Essentially, you get two separate rooms. Room#1. A bedroom, toilet, and outside shower. Equipped with cold AC; very modern concrete floors and tastefully decorated. Simple yet sophisticated. There is something just great about showering outside looking up at the stars! Room#2. A living room area that opens up to the functional kitchen. Another toilet and yes another outside shower with ocean views! The kitchen is fully equipped; nice and rustic/modern. The decor is equally impressive as its' counterpart. No AC in this room; however, keep in mind the natural breeze is more than adequate making AC in this space not necessary/critical. Simply open up the storm shutters (fully screened) and let the breeze do its thing. The grand finale of the home is the wonderful pool/covered patio area with superior views! You will spend most of your house time here. It is a huge area with table, seating, and lounge areas....all with brilliant views! The third outside shower is centered here for easy access and clear line of sight to the glorious ocean/sky. Also attached is a utility/laundry room with an extra fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Finally, just when you thought things couldnt get any better you remember the additional huge roof/terrace. It has a marvelous view that is to die for! Ocean/beach views by day....star gazing by night! Location. You definitely need a car; while the location is perfection without a car it would be a challenge. Just minutes from the town of Esperanza, but you feel very secluded IN a GOOD way! This location is quite possibly the BeST spot on the entire island! Try Maritza's car rental and get a Jeep/4X4. With all the exploring you will do on the island it is positively worth it! Joey the house manager was friendly, informative, and respectful...thank you for the excellent food recommendations!
