We are close to "The Ettrick Marshes Project" & Parts of both "The Nature of Britain" and "Autumn Watch 2007" were filmed on our farm close to our Holiday Cottage.
An excellent base for hillwalking, fishing, golf, riding, mountain biking (Glentress & Innerleithen), cycling and many other activities including Go Ape.
The area is steeped in History, visit some of the Borders Stately Homes & Gardens, Abbeys, Churches, & Keep Towers. Follow the Borders Woollen Trail or explore Eskadalemuir Forest, Ancient Standing Stones and Samye Ling Tibetan Centre which are within easy reach, as well as St. Mary's Loch, The Grey Mare's Tail and Moffat. The James Hogg Exhibition (celebrated Scottish writer) is a walk away. Edinburgh (45 miles) is an easy journey for a day out.
