The location is outstanding-on a pond full of birds and just over the dunes from the beach. Cottage is all that was advertised and owners very friendly and responsive. We'll be back.

Unbelievable location that has everything you need.
My wife and I had a great "staycation". We didn't have to drive very far but we landed into another world. A huge sand dune almost in our backyard, and once over it we we were on the ocean with miles of white sand in both directions. Virtually our own private beach and warm water, great for swimming.
Besides being right on the ocean we were impressed with the excellent location for other activities which we enjoy..... proximity to golf, restaurants and cycling.
The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed, we just wished that we could have stayed longer. Certainly one of the best family rentals on the Island.

Perfect cottage for a family reunion!
Sandcastles is a charming and cosy cottage, that easily accommodates extra guests. We had a family reunion at the cottage, and it couldn't have been a better venue and location! The huge deck in the back was perfect for socializing, and the sunsets were beautiful. There is a large back yard for lawn games, and a swing set in the front yard that is great for kids. The cottage feels welcoming, like you are right at home. The cottage is steps away from the beach access - just over the dunes - to the gorgeous PEI beaches that stretch for miles. I went on a daily run along the beach, an absolute highlight of my time at Sandcastles. Oh, and of course building sandcastles (a must when staying at Sandcastles!).

Perfect pet-friendly Cottage
This spot is great for a group or family looking to be near the beach, but still in a quiet area. The location was absolutely perfect, the amenities were fantastic and the, owners were always eager to help out when asked.

Perfect PEI Experience
Cottage has everything you want in a PEI retreat. Peaceful, beautiful view, easy access to a fantastic beach, comfortable and spacious accommodations, and only a short drive to golf and seafood. While the two sides of the cottage are completely separate and private, we shared the other side with extended family so it made for a perfect opportunity for a family reunion. Highly recommended.

Exceeded our expectations
We arrived at Sandcastles on the recommendation of a good friend who had stayed there before. Right from the first evening, we were hooked. A very short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I have eve seen, and the sunsets there were just out of this world. The next morning, I saw a bald eagle visiting the tidal pond as I sat on the porch with my coffee. We had a great time on PEI with activities such as the potato museum (fun and great food!), bicycling, deep sea fishing, and a lot of great food. The house itself is well run, and has everything one needs including beach towels, and even two older bikes. We heard our neighbors through the wall a little bit at night, but the kids slept well, they must have been tuckered out. As I had to work, I was glad for the wifi which worked flawlessly even through videoconferencing. I was a little concerned about the temperatures getting cooler in the end of August, and some of the days were cool, but the water temperatures were so pleasant in the ocean, the kids had a blast playing in the waves.
Brian and Jane checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to going back to PEI and when we do, we'll definitely book Sandcastles again.

Great location!
This cottage is so close to the dunes and wonderful beach! The area is lovely, Kensington is nearby and the cottage has essentials well covered. Only downsides: neighbours can often be heard in other half, and the kitchen area and bathroom could honestly use more light. Still, overall a great find!
