The Lyons are very knowledgable about the area. They can inform you of the best restaurants, affordable tourist attractions and the easiest domestic travel. All of their information is based on the experience of living and playing there. They are one of the warmest and most accommodating hosts I've experienced and walk you through immersing into the Belizean culture. The accommodation is a sweet little 2br cottage on the property near the main house. The cottage holds all of the kitchen necessities you would find in any modern local along with AC and hot water. The beds are super cozy with full set of bedding. The property grows fresh tropical fruit and has a top of the line barbecue for that possible fresh catch if you take part in the local fishing. The cottage also holds a ton of literature on location attractions and tours nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this couple and their property. You want this!

WOW!
This had to be the best place I have ever stayed. We were so comfortable and well taken care of. Can't express how much we loved the owner Michelle. She was friendly and told us all of the things to do and see that really added to our experience. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. Will be staying there every time we go!

Home Away From Home
I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Belize to stay at Gecko Bungalow. It was such a comfortable place to stay and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. It was the perfect getaway and we couldn't have found a better deal.

Wonderful!!
what a great little place! Michelle and Scott are two of the nicest folks you would ever want to meet. They treated me like family, and Michelle made sure that I had every thing I needed. She even took me to her fav bars and restaurants and introduced me to she and Scott's friends.
When I go back to Belize, rest assured that "the cutest little bungalow" will be my first stop!! Highly recommended!

Couldn't be cuter!!
Just back from an adventure road-trip through Belize that began and ended at Gecko Bungalow! What a great little rental! Michelle picked us up from the airport with a welcome drink in hand and whisked us off on the start of our Belize adventure! The cottage is absolutely adorable, extremely clean and such a great place to stay! Michelle is happy to give advice on how to experience Belize like a local! She was the BEST and we absolutely loved the bungalow!! Don't miss this place!

Cozy, Clean and centrally located :)
We went to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and enjoyed every minute. Michelle was waiting for us to give us access/keys and she was very friendly. She helped us plan our itinerary so we wouldn't miss anything. Perfect place at a great price, close to the airport, the city and other attractions. We will definitely book it again.
