Booked to stay over August Bank Holiday weeked and payed in full but at a non refundable rate. Big mistake and I admit that! A few days before going my mum was admitted to hospital and ended up having 3 toes amputated. Obviously our break was off as I had to care for my mother. After asking the owner if we could either transfer our dates or get a refund, and getting nowhere, Booking.com who we booked through, pleaded with the owner to refund us or change our dates but he stood firm by his no refund policy. My Mum went onto to have leg saving surgery shortly after and three blood transfusions. She is still in hospital now, after three weeks. Booking.com told us they were shocked and that it was very unusual that the owner would not help us out in these circumstances, even after booking at a non refundable rate, and that they would be looking at his rating. The owner also had the nerve to ask me to officially cancel so he resell the stay. Wow what a great guy! I ended up selling the stay for only £20 on ebay, after Booking.com said this was my last option to recoup some money and that they would happily change to bookers details in these circumstances.

My partner stayed for a few nights and was blown away by how it was. He said it was like home from home. Would recommend a stay here AMAZING
