The property is exceptional in location, waterfront and gorgeous views, turtles, rays. Getting there and leaving from the airport leaves much to be desired. Do NOT use Southern Air make your route work with Bahama Air. As much as we love and miss Long Island and the Passionate Pelican, We do not miss the hassle, days lost, and added expenses that (Southern Air) "Wounded Sparrow Airlines" caused us.

It was exactly what we needed, well maintained, clean, beautifully located and close to necessary amenities. Perfect for us.

This lovely property was exactly what we we wanted! Quiet, beautiful location and the home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we wanted. We so enjoyed kayaking around the bay, snorkeling, and sitting on the back deck at night looking at the stars. We would love to come back!

Excellent location, with amazing views. I can’t talk really put into words how beautiful the views are from here. Very well kept building. Immaculately clean. Gazebo by the water offers shade when fishing. Sun deck on patio is perfect for relaxing and soaking In the sun chairs that rock on the balcony. Felt very safe. Clothes line. Separate second bathroom accessible from the sun deck. Pretty private- there are some neighbors next door. Violet is the property manager and is excellent to work with. Only issue is there were geckos in the house- crawling on the ceiling of bedroom. If this could be fixed, I would give this a 100% rating but I had a hard time sleeping knowing those guys were in the ceiling.

This property will exceed your expectations! Everything is there that you need. Violet was wonderful before and during our stay with my questions we had. We will definitely be back!! Long Island is an amazing island with amazing very friendly individuals. The views around the island are impeccable. We highly recommend the property and the island!

Wonderful views, you won't finish you book collection at the Pelican and it was an effortless experience start to finish. The Pelican is first property that was exactly as advertised. I won't hesitate to come back. Violet was the most amazing host answering every question and picking up anything I forgot, and I will miss those banana muffins.

My husband and I spent a lovely week in this beautiful home. It is perfectly appointed and beautifully decorated. We did not cook much at home, but if we had chosen to do so, we had everything we could have ever wanted at our disposal. Violet, the property manager, was wonderful. She met us at check in, gave us wonderful advice and even stopped by mid week when we locked ourselves out of the home while enjoying the private beach area just steps away from the house. In addition to that help, she helped with restaurant and adventure advice... She even helped us figure out how to get our COVID screening for a return trip home and the Bahamas website had incorrect information. As wonderful as she and the home are, the views cannot be compared to any other aspect of this property. I must have literally hundreds of pictures and video of the views from this home. No picture can possibly capture what it feels like to sit on this porch morning, noon and night and look over the beautiful harbor. We explored many, many beaches during our week and they all of their special aspects, but if you chose to simply enjoy the large (almost always empty) beach just steps away from the property, you may not miss any of the others on the island. We cannot wait to return!
