Overall this was a good rental. Our group of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The communication with the owner was excellent. She was very responsive to our questions and provided lots of information before our visit. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom was nice and its bathroom was functional. The middle bedroom's bathroom light did not work nor did its shower provide hot water. We informed the caretaker of this situation when we arrived. He said he would fix it but never did. The only shower that had hot water was the master bedroom's so our kids used our bathroom/shower a lot. The water heater apparatus was next to the kitchen sink and emitted a loud noise, almost siren like when we used hot water. Kind of annoying.
There are air conditioners in the bedrooms but none in the common areas and on hot days we were a bit uncomfortable. However, the balcony looking out towards the water was wonderful (nice breeze) and we spent a lot of time there. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and there is a nice medium sized pool directly associated with the condo.
You have access to the resort's activities, restaurants and facilities, for a fee. We didn't avail ourselves of the resort. Had enough to do and explore on our own. El Valle, yes!!
The price was very reasonable especially compared to the resort and we liked cooking our own breakfasts. There is a Super 99 just up the road where we got provisions. Sonia's driver, Samuel is a super nice man with lots of patience and good skills. He guided us through a nice hike near El Valle on rainy day, with good humor. He also changed a flat tire in no time flat to get us on time on our last day to the airport. His English is not fantastic but we all got by with our different levels of our languages.

Great holiday rent
We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks in February. Very well located, just a 5 mns walk to the beach, and situated in a quieter area, away from the hotel resort close by. The apartment itself is spacious and very well furnished. A big balcony (with a see view) for our meals in the evening was ideal.
Playa Blanca has a lot to offer : huge beach / bay, entertainment at the resort close by, sports, activities for children. Excursions can be booked at the resort.
Highly recommended for a great relaxing holiday, in this ideally located apartment !

What a Fantastic place
This is a briliant place to come with Kids, the apartment block has its own swmming pool , the beach is 2 minutes away and for a reasonable daily rate you can access everything the nearby hotel complex has to offer including several swimming pools, a huge lagoon and all inclusive days. The views from the appartment are stunning and it has everything you need including Wifi.
We will be visiting again in the near Future!

Amazing!
Ideal Vacation Place: Balcones 4, 7B in Playa Blanca
We were back to this apartment for our second year for the whole month of January. It is located steps to the beach, and has its own swimming pool. It is a very clean, comfortable, well furnished, and well looked-after apartment. Bedrooms are furnished with air conditioning and there are ceiling fans in every room. With windows open we get good aeration and often do not need the air conditioning to be turned on. There is a large veranda allowing us to have our meals there. It provides an unimpeded and breathtaking view of the beach. From there we can also watch spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets. The apartment is also equipped wih Wifi, a television and DVD player.
Neighbours are very friendly. There are several restaurants close by, including a Lebanese, a hamburger place, a Thai and a Japanese. Transportation is inexpensive including taxis, which allows us to do away with car rentals. The owners are extremey friendly and very easy to get along with. We certainly recommend this wonderful, relaxing place for vacationing. For us, it is the place to be.
We liked it so much that we came back to spend the months of February and March!
