We are a family of four, and this was our first experience with a vacation rental. Since my mom was joining us on the trip, we needed a bit more space than a hotel would provide, not only for sleeping arrangements but so she could make meals for the kids in the kitchen (we saved a lot of money by leaving the kids at the house with her when we went out to eat or adventuring). The pool was their favorite entertainment throughout the two weeks that we stayed; it's the perfect size to cool down and to entertain kids. Although the house is very close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores, the walls around the property provided nearly complete privacy. However, there is a hotel across the street that has live outdoor music on weekends that is quite loud from the upstairs bedrooms. That didn't bother us, but it might be something for you to consider. But there is also an outdoor ping pong table at that hotel that the kids were allowed to use.
One downside is that the "garage" fits only a very compact car, so our rental vehicle did not fit (we parked on the street). However, we did rent a dirt bike, which fit quite well.
As for sleeping arrangements, it does sleep five easily, but note that the fifth bed is a small twin that is stored under the bed in the master bedroom and only fits on the floor space in the master bedroom. So my husband and I used the second bedroom and had my mom and the kids sleep in the master. That's fine, other than the master has a very nice closet, whereas the second bedroom only has a dresser (a nice, big one, but I prefer to hang my clothes). Definitely not a big deal to us, and we knew this going into it, but something you might want to plan for.
One of the main reasons we chose Villa Blanca over others is because the owner, Monika, was great to deal with leading up to the stay and also during the stay- very professional, quick to reply to emails, and she even connected us with other lodging options when we were still undecided. She seems to know everyone in Samara and is respected, from our impressions "on the street". The people she has helping with the house were very, very helpful and responsive to all of our needs. She was very honest about internet access, and she was true to her word. My husband and I both worked remotely during part of our stay, so this was important to us. We only had minimal internet / Wi-Fi connectivity issues (upon arrival the modem was broken, and after wind storms power was out for a couple hours). The price of the rental provided us more than many hotels at the same price. We would definitely stay here again!
