The Birds Nest Cottage is THE best vacation property I’ve stayed at in Galena, and I’ve stayed at many! The cottage is adorable and pretty well appointed. Appliances all worked great. Air conditioning worked well as I was there in the end of summer! The view is absolutely spectacular!!! The breeze at the top of the hill was magnificent and kept all the bugs away and kept me very comfortable on a humid weekend. I came to getaway and have seclusion from the world and that’s exactly what I got. I got to listen to nature and watch the countryside and enjoy a bottle of wine and unwind. Jolene was very communicative, especially when I arrived at night and had a little trouble at the end of road finding the driveway in the dark. She was super helpful. FYI the grill is not a grill but a pellet smoker. So if you know how to use it as a grill great l, my husband was able to walk me through it but it was out of my depth as far as grilling went. Didn’t matter, because I was only cooking for one. I spent hours by the fire pit enjoying the sounds of the wind, birds, cows in the distance, and just the peace and quiet I needed. WiFi worked great. Bed was comfortable. The house itself is super cute and well decorated. I will definitely be coming back here and this will be my go-to Galena destination. Dont looks any further than this place! It’s an absolute gem!

Wonderful secluded property. Great outdoor space with incredible views. Owner was there when we arrived and gave us a bottle of wine from the vineyard on the property. Jolene the property manager was great, very responsive, and acomodating with check in and check out. Will definitely return!

An amazing property hidden from the road, yet with views for miles. Cozy cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Beautiful home, beautifully decorated, clean, fresh and comfortable. Amazing views and lots of places to sit in the shade if hot. Steve said there is usually a good amount of wind which helps on the hot days to still be able to sit outside. You can hear car noise from Hwy 20, but if the wind is blowing it covers most of it. So relaxing, quiet and peaceful. If you love the country and love to get away from it all, this is a perfect place to do so.

For a girlfriends weekend away, we loved the outdoor space for early morning coffee and evening fire pit relaxation. The gas stove was excellent for our meal in. Near enough to all that Galena and the surrounding area has to offer, but far enough out for a peaceful retreat. Can’t wait to come back!

This house was beautiful inside and out! The views were absolutely amazing. It was a nice surprise finding out we had access to the club house and pool!

It was perfect place to stay for girls weekend. We got to enjoy the fire pit and wonderful views. The kitchen was great to use for our dinners and table was big enough for all of us. The windows by the pool table had lots of dead bugs in them and some fans had dust. otherwise, it was a great experience.
