This is a great place to stay in a beautiful part of Maine! The pictures accurately depict both the cottage and the surrounding environment. The cottage was very well kept and had all of the necessary amenities. The owner responded to our communications quickly and we had no problems with the rental at all. Trip highlights: Our six-year old spent hours in the lake both in the water and sharing one of the kayaks. We were visited by loons, hummingbirds, and assorted other creatures. Nearby lake Damariscotta has a more traditional swimming area where our daughter had fun playing with other children. One caveat about the cottage that didn't affect us negatively, but might impact some: Two of the three beds are in a loft accessible by a ladder (accurately depicted in the pictures) that will be fine for most, but perhaps an issue for very young children or people with mobility issues. Overall, we'd 100% recommend this cottage for people looking for a Maine vacation getaway.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The camp was very clean, and had everything we needed. Great morning sun on the deck. Very quiet pond that was fun to paddle around. And a farm stand with fresh strawberries only a couple of miles up the road. Hosts were very responsive.
