It was wonderful to have a place to relax between events for our class reunion. Very comfortable, felt like home. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the freighters go by. It was easy to reach our host with questions. Enjoyed our stay so much, we are already booked for a week next summer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is located in the perfect spot to watch freighters coming and going to the Soo Locks. We used Boat Watch app to keep track of approaching vessels. There were plenty of dishes, places to set, and kitchen amenities. The beds were comfortable and water pressure is great as long as you stagger showers. It would be nice if all the windows opened on the inside. However, the owners are actively working on improving the property. I am sure that will be fixed very soon. :-)

We all had a wonderful time sitting on the deck and watching the freighters pass by. My kids loved playing in the water. Short car rides to all that the U.P. has to offer...Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Shipwreck Museum, St. Ignace/Mackinaw Island, etc. Weather was great! Cloudy and cool for most days but felt great to us!

The location of this house was pretty neat with all the ships that passed by so close to us, but the Sault Ste Marie area and this house just weren’t for us. The house had far more personal items and decor than what we’ve experienced in other VRBO homes, and you can tell it means a lot to the owner which is great - for her family - and it appears many other renters as well. But with framed NRA certificates on the wall and bullets my kids found in a drawer, more taxidermy animals as well as a few likely personal photographs that aren’t in the listing’s pictures (including one over a bed in a room my that my kids found creepy and could not sleep in), it just didn’t have the vacation feel we were hoping for. We chose the house for the location, which for the Sault area was really cool, but we would not stay here again.

We had so much fun on the river. It truly was a once in a life time experience. When the freighters go by on the river the water lowers which we did not realize until we looked down as one passed, we had been in ankle deep water and there was no water under us or right in front of us. After the freighter passes a big wave comes bringing the water back and breaking higher up on shore before returning to normal. The first wave kinda got us wetter then we had planned, so be prepared for it if you are in the water or on the shore near the water. After that the kids could not wait for the next freighter. The kids also liked taking note of the painting of the ship smokestacks and then looking on the poster on the wall in the house to see which shipping company it was. The only negative for my kids were the animal mounts on the wall and the owl mount. We had expected the ones on the wall as we saw them in the picture but we were not prepared for the owl. Also be careful of the driveway. The middle is really high and our minivan was bottoming out on it so we had to drive off center.

Our stay at this house has been nothing short of amazing. We were greeted by 2 freighters passing by in opposite directions. We were in awe. The house was very cozy, neat and clean upon arrival. Plenty of seating inside and out. The large deck came in handy as we sat by the bonfire nightly. My children absolutely loved watching the boats go by and playing in the waves as they passed. We even got lucky enough to have a captain wave and honk and we saw a wooden pirate ship. One day we caught a boat and followed it to the soo locks and watched it go on its way. So many wonderful memories made here and we will DEFINITELY come here again.

Great place to stay, I would love to go back for a longer stay. I would highly recommend this property

This is a perfect location with a beautifully decorated house. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the boats. We took the family and there was plenty of room for everyone. One family member is physically challenged and sometimes worries about getting around comfortably. The house has a ramp on the front door and an accessible bathroom. It made me so happy to see this family member relax and enjoy the spot. It was truly a wonderful time, and I have already booked for next year.
