We have been renting cabins for over 15 years with 3 generations of family and Odie’s Place had something for everyone. The cabin itself is beautiful, spacious and very well stocked. They thought of everything from kitchen gadgets and appliances to interior lighting and decorations that set the mood perfectly. We had a few rainy days but thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in this beautiful cabin as well as exploring Hackensack and taking in a movie at the Bear Pause movie theater. The outdoor space is amazing-a deck to enjoy a meal or play games, a patio to spend some time soaking in the view and smell of pine and the wonderful beach with plenty of seating including chairs, a hammock and a swing as well as a fire pit area and beach hut to store all of the fun beach toys. Great communication with owners as well. Wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend to friends and family- a true gem!

I have stayed at Odie's Place in the middle of winter and summer - both were magical experiences. The tall pines covered with snow while the fire crackled was amazing. The private beach and lovely outdoor sitting areas provided the perfect summer relaxation and fun setting. The house itself is so beautiful, organized, well appointed, and comfortable. They have everything you need for a super fun family get away. We also recommend driving to Walker for the Thursday morning farmers market - best in the state!! Music, great artists and local vendors. Walker has many great artisans so don't miss browsing the small shops in town too!

We enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful cabin and setting. Clean and updated. Owners are great with communication. We hope to be back again.

This is the 3rd time that we have rented this property and we had another great week. Each year there have been significant upgrades to make our stay even better. Definitely a 5 star!

This is a beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake! The beach is perfect for family fun on the water. We love how close it is to town so we could walk or bike to the park, ice cream shop, or the brewery. The size of the cabin, with bedrooms on multiple levels, is really great.

Not only is this a beautiful home but the lakefront, landscaping and lake are gorgeous too. It makes such a difference when your hosts are thoughtful and you’re not “wishing” for there to be anything else. Plenty of seating, dishes, cookware, towels, etc. Our family loved every second of our time at Odie’s place and everything was seamless thanks in large part to our hosts. Thank you!

Loved the lake view from this home. Fishing was pretty good. Pretty windy when we were there so we didn't utilize the beach fire pit as much as we would have liked. Neighbors are closer then we thought but very friendly. Overall a very good experience.

Everything from check-in to check out was perfect in the cabin! To say it was well stocked with everything you needed would be an understatement! The beach house with additional refrigerator down by the water was a plus! Saved many trips going up and down. This cabin had everything we needed and we will definitely be back!

We had 4 adults and 3 kids (4, 3, 2 years) & it was perfect for our size group. Lots of space for everyone. The property had everything we needed & it was so close to town for a quick trip for anything else. The beach is huge, lots of space for the kids to play but not too big where you couldn't keep an eye on them. The water was very clear and clean. I'd recommend water shoes if you have sensitive feet as it can get rocky at the bottom of the lake. I'd also recommend bug spray & insect bite treatment as it was insanely buggy (lots of mosquitoes & spiders). We did spray the main areas outside and that seemed to help but come prepared & don't expect to stay outside after dusk. Overall, we had a great time & have already booked our trip for next year!
