The property and home was perfect for our stay and I would definitely stay again. It made our trip even better!

House is great - nice location. Very clean house and comfortable.

We unplugged from life for a few days and found this location to be relaxing, comfortable and a great 'home base' as we explored rural Missouri. Drove beautiful countryside to go to parks and wineries within an hour drive (always one of us as designated driver - please don't minimize the dangers of driving rural highways under the influence!). The pictures are accurate, the deck was a lovely place to drink coffee in the morning or adult beverage at night, listening to the sounds of nature, including the cattle mooing in the field across the road. Hardly any traffic sounds, even though the house is located at the intersection of a rural highway and the road to the entrance to the Edg-Clif winery. Edg-Clif is approx. 1/2 mile very easy walk from rental to their outside patio. Had a nice time, super friendly owners, small band played great music, loved their beer and wine. You bring your own food to this winery, I don't think they serve any food at all, they are open 12-5 Friday-Sunday only. Doug is very responsive and leaves clear instructions/information about the property. Would be a great spot for a small group who wants to walk to a winery/microbrewery. House is well supplied with everything except Kleenex. Only suggestion is to bring cushions or beach towels if you are going to sit on the deck very long - wood slatted deck chairs are pretty uncomfortable. Great outdoor table seats six, and two lounge chairs, plus small table/two chairs at the front door to watch sunrise. We always have beach towels in our car (for our dog), so we wrapped pillows in those to use, which was much more comfortable. A great spot - thank you Doug for your hospitality!

The house was very nice and the owner thought of everything.

The home was so beautiful and very convenient. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and right off the main road but private enough with the landscaping. Doug was extremely helpful with instructions regarding activities nearby and help with the house. We chose this home because it was centrally located to the activities we were doing in Steelville and Bourbon, MO. If we head down that way again we will definitely give him a call! Thank you again!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home very much. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The home had everything we needed. Would recommend some hooks in the bathrooms for towels

Super clean, super cute, everything you need. Excellent communication from the owner, from detailed check In and check out info, to advice on what to do and where to find things.. Overall one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve had!

House was great and met all of our expectations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ozark Country House. Doug was super helpful in giving suggestions of things to do in the area and responded quickly to inquiries. The house was very comfortable and stylish. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. We loved the country setting and relaxing on the large deck. The location was perfect for us and we visited many of the state parks in the area. I would highly recommend Hughes Mountain, Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut in’s. We also did a 6 mile kayak river float trip through Bass River Resort. Old Village Mercantile in Caledonia was also a highlight with delicious ice cream, coffee and candy. We cooked most of our meals at the house and it was very well equipped with everything we needed. The only regret we have is that we (my husband and I) didn’t make it to the winery. It’s a quaint place just down the road and open weekends. Should have gone Sunday when we arrived since we left Friday morning. Thanks Doug for helping us to have a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation.

This house was amazing!! Everything we ever wanted. Doug gave us a list of restuarants, places to go visit. Very accommodating and to top it off the winery was a short walk. Sangrias were out of site. Everyone was very friendly 😊 We will definitely be back! JENKINS FAMILY
