We have stayed in many vacation rentals, this by far was a game changer. The worst thing I can say about it is the pictures don't do it justice! The day we arrived it was storming so it took a bit longer to arrive to the villa. No matter Mark was up and there to greet us. The Host was super responsive and was able to guide the driver as we got closer. We had a group of 6 which included my 2 year old. My Birthday dinner was beautiful Mark set it up so nice. We enjoyed every bite! He also made sure he made a bit on the side for my son (nights we requested spicy) just in case the spice level was a bit high, as well as his favorite breakfast daily 😀 which is pancakes. They had any and everything we needed, from a pump to blow up floaters to a highchair at dinner. For vacation rentals Mark changes the experience, his food was more than delicious (we chose authentic Jamaican food), he accommodated all our Excursions needs, was able to have a massage therapist come on site, COVID Tests, and a water taxi when needed. Our stay was a week long. If you are ok with not being in crowds and not the touristy area this is the place for you. There are so many things to do on this side of the island 🏝 that no one ever tells you about. Stay here it will be worth it!!! 🛩💖

This was our third time visiting Jamaica but our first time in Black River and we had the pleasure of staying at Sweet Escape. The home is exactly as pictured with enough room for our family of seven to spread out. Mark was there to greet us and made some delicious Jamaican meals which we planned together in advance. He helped arranged our transportation to various excursions and was reliable ensuring we had what we need. I can’t thank him enough for the care and attention. Collette was also very kind and a big help with housekeeping. The kids enjoyed the pool and were able to safely explore the beach. It was a comfy and relaxing family vacation and I’m glad we got to create some beautiful memories at this pleasant villa!

Our family stayed at this villa for 14 days. This vacation was unforgettable. The villa is large and very comfortable. The villa has everything you need for a great holiday, bright and comfortable. Cleaning was done every other day, thanks for that. It was also very comfortable to relax and swim in the pool in the yard. The sea is very warm and a stone's throw from the house. We were always in touch with the owner. Thank you Carla for organizing a wonderful stay at the villa. Special thanks to the chef Mark. During our holiday, Mark was part of our family. Mark is a great cook. He responded to all our requests and questions and helped in everything and always. Thank you Mark for everything he has done for us. We recommend staying at this villa

My family had a fun week in Jamaica and enjoyed the property and pool. We loved the meals that Chef Mark prepared and he was great at adjusting his dishes for our food sensitivities. The owner Ms Dixon was very patient with my many emails and pre-planning information needs. It was incredibly helpful and a huge plus that Ms Dixon made all the transportation arrangements in advance. We enjoyed the house and the immersion into the local culture rather than staying in more crowded tourist area given covid - we really wanted a place that we could relax and get away from the world. Even had a bonfire on the beach! We recommend this property for families or groups of friends who want to get away from the crowds, but still close enough to plan Black River, Treasure Beach and Negril excursions to sightsee.

This was an amazing stay! My Family stayed for a few nights including Christmas and I can’t say enough positive things about our experience! The chef was amazing, property is very clean and the pictures don’t do it justice!

The property is more beautiful than the pictures online. Mark the caretaker was beyond wonderful & the best cook. Mark was the primary reason I enjoyed my visit. He arranged everything and his resources are endless.

This was the first time my family and I ever traveled during a holiday. Mrs. Carla set up our transportation to and from the airport. The transportation service was on time both ways which was great. It took about 2 hours from the airport to the villa. I was already nervous not knowing what to really expect once we got there. Once we arrived at the villa, I was so relieved to see how beautiful this place was. Mark the chef greeted us at the door. From that day on, Mark became my best friend. He made sure we had everything we needed as far as food, drinks and transportation to anywhere we needed to go.. Also, try to help us understand the money value.( we're still working on that ) lol. Mark is such a great chef. I can talk about him all day but you need to know how beautiful this villa is also. I Love an open floor plan. Everyone can be together at one time. The villa was extremely clean. The bedrooms are spacious. Love the huge closet space along with the spacious bathrooms. Okay, lets talk about the pool area... 1 word ( AMAZING ) . The picture of the villa doesn't do it any justice. The pool is actually bigger than what is shown on the picture. There's plenty of seating around the pool area . We also loved sitting under the shaded pergola watching the sunset. It was absolutely beautiful. Being though it was Christmas week, Mrs. Carla made sure we had a decorated Christmas tree. I was also celebrating my husband and mother's birthday, Mrs. Carla and Chef Mark helped me put together a fabulous Birthday dinner for them by the pool with white linens balloons. Also schedule them a massage by the pool facing the ocean, I couldn't ask for anything more.. This was everything I see on television come true.
