Our all-ages (from senior to 6-week-old) family group of 12 agrees that this was the best reunion site ever! The property caretaker, Mr. Aguilara, was gracious and helpful (and we all fell in love with his lovely gentle dog, Paloma). The experience of living in an historic, well-maintained and beautifully updated adobe home was amazing. It was cool in the daytime and warm in the night, and incredibly quiet in each room (even with a crying baby and a couple of rambunctious boys). There were bedrooms for everyone, and plenty of bathroom access - all beautifully appointed spaces. The common areas are perfect for a large family group like ours - a large kitchen with a big table, and wonderful outdoor gathering spots. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals together, and we used the outdoor grill most nights. The boys had so much fun playing on the swings and checking out the chickens.
The location is excellent - outside of Taos, but very close, and with beautiful hiking options in all directions. We also visited the excellent art museum and the Taos Pueblo.
Everyone said that we need to come back soon and do it all over again, in this wonderful home-away-from-home.
