We did not have a good experience. Would not recommend this house, or location. Left early and found a better location to stay at. When we arrived at the house the wind was hollowing. There were significant wind gusts. Once we found the key for the house, location was not given to us, we unlocked the door. The wind was blowing so hard that I hung onto the door so it would not slam open. Before we even stepped into the house there was a crash. As we got in the door, we saw that a figurine had been blown over that was in the nitch in wall across from door. When it blew over it created another one to crash to floor. We had to locate a broom and dustpan and get the rug picked up, so our dogs did not get cut by anything. We immediately took all the other figurines out of the nitch and placed on table so no other ones would be broken. I reported this to the individual that answered the phone for caretaker contact. He made the comment that it had been very windy. Our issue with this is we are being charged for something that broke and was completely out of our control. Noone was doing anything crazy; we had not even stepped foot in the house yet. As we started to settle in and look around the house, we noticed that the outside areas were nothing like pictured on the VRBO site. In the pictures on VRBO it shows a nice sitting area labeled side yard. The vegetation is so overgrown that we were not able to access this area. The side yard looks nothing at all like the pictures posted due to the overgrown vegetation. In the pictures on VRBO it also shows a nice patio area for sitting at a table, with cushions. Again, the vegetation is so overgrown that we had to maneuver the chairs around have any room. we also looked around for cushions for the chairs and were unable to find any. It was a tight fit down the path to gathering location due to the vegetation as well. The pictures for outdoor space are very misleading. My husband and I attempted showers and discovered we had no hot water. The hot water heater did not appear to be working. I did notify the number for caretaker and the gentleman did offer to come over and take a look. We were tired and ready to settle in. I told him we would touch base the next morning.

Property was perfect for our family of four - best stocked kitchen in years of renting homes! Also, really enjoyed all the art in the home. Thanks for offering up this home for a lovely place to land every evening!

The outdoor spaces are a huge bonus. <br/><br/>The patio is sweet and has gorgeous views. We recommend buying bird seed and filling up the feeders to enjoy mountain jays, songbirds, bunnies and other wildlife year round. <br/><br/>In the summer, the house is cool. In the winter, the heated floors are so warm and cozy. With River access for fly fishing and the 360 views, you can really enjoy how beautiful Taos is.

House and location were great with natural beauty all around. Cozy and comfy place that felt like home. Great hot water and heated floors. Would stay here again another time.

We love it, the house is decorated very nicely, the kitchen is well-appointed so you can actually cook and the whole place is so comfy. Beds are cozy, with good mattresses and linens. The bath is nice. The outdoor spaces are well done, places to sit and enjoy the 360 views as well as birds, bunnies and quail that come to feed at night. I think it was our 5th or 6th time staying here and we&#x2019;ll be back in late winter. Perfect house for all seasons, as long as you have 4x4.

Our traveling came to a stop for 3 days here, where we just enjoyed the natural beauty of the area. Loved grilling in the outside dining space where we had a fire pit after and watched the moon rise. It was perfect.

Lots of interesting and fun art…sooo quiet. You can watch the night sky there
