The property is truly amazing! Through the tour we learned all about the history of the property and got to see some incredible plants. As you would expect, jungle wildlife (geckos and mosquitoes) are present but they are generally friendly!

My husband and I had an amazing stay. The zen-like cabin was amazing and just what we needed. Sydney's (owner) attention to detail was not lost on us...from the natural river rock shower to the creative inlaid tiles in the kitchen...so many eclectic and enchanting finds with the expansive view as a back drop. Sydney took us on a tour of the coffee farm and it was the highlight of our Maui trip. The welcoming host, lush landscape, petroglyphs and peaceful atmosphere...well, we didn't want to leave! We not only had a relaxing vacation but we feel we have a new friend. We will be back!

The house was very clean and set up well for our stay. Lovely kitchen and surrounding deck. Loved the expansive view and surround sound of the forest birds. Sydney provided an excellent tour and history of the island. Too bad the drought has dried up the waterfall on the property. Very convenient access to the Road to Hana sights and upcountry area.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was located in a wonderful spot for bird watching and enjoying the sounds of nature. The property was a great adventure visiting the petroglyphs, stream and wonderful old trees. It was especially interesting after the tour given by the owner Sydney who is incredibly knowledgeable of the area and Hawaiian culture. Sydney is a great host. She is always available for questions and ready to help. This was our last stop in our three island adventure and it was the perfect way to conclude and wonderful visit to Hawaii. We certainly hope to be back in the next two years and would love to stay in the cottage again.

We LOVED this property. The land is gorgeous and a labour of love by Sydney and her husband. Take a tour with her! The home itself is beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. We had everything we needed and more as all the details are thought through (like extra sunscreen). Comfortable beds. The coffee and honey made on site is great. Are you guys both done let’s finish up yeah but you’re done yourAmazing view!! We will absolutely come back! Thank you, Sydney.

When we visit Maui, we (like most) default to ocean view properties. This year, we shook things up and stayed for five days at Maliko Estate Coffee in this beautiful cottage. The ocean was still in view but this is all about the greenery. It was fantastic being among the trees as the cottage is set on the property so as to feel very "treehouse" like -- with all of the amenities of luxury! Every need is foreseen and the owner was so responsive both before & during our stay. It was wonderful to stay upcountry and be near mountain bike trails for my husband and shopping in Makawao or Pai'a. And, each evening we were serenaded to sleep by the chatty birds. When it rained on our last day, we rejoiced! We were deep in the jungle for the first "good solid rain" since March 2021! Oh the smells! So clean & crisp. As the cottage is near Hana Highway, this would be the ideal location for folks wanting to experience the famous drive but not get up at 5am while on vacation so as to miss the Highway tourism traffic. Having done the drive several times before, this trip we started at 10am and drove for about an hour & a half before turning around to go catch our tour of Hawaiian Sea Spirits. Do not skip the owner's offer of a tour of the property! Her passion for the history & heritage she is protecting is apparent and it was fun to see a 200 year old mango tree, old roads, and petroglyphs. She has a fantastic map of trails on her 24 acres. We are already thinking about our dates to return here in 2022. That is how much we loved this stay!

Sydney’s property is amazing. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Sleeping at night and listening to the jungle was incredible. The bed is super comfy and Sydney’s decorating touches made this stay memorable. Sydney’s tour was great. We learned so much history about the property and the plant and animal life. When we come back to Maui, we will definitely stay here again.
