My daughter and her boyfriend joined me for a return trip to this beautiful island. We had visited many times before, but we couldn't have asked for a lovelier spot. We so very much enjoyed our stay there. The owners have thought of everything to make it feel like home away from home. The photos did not do the surroundings justice. Idyll Dreams was beautifully and comfortably decorated and thoughtfully appointed with all the comforts of home. The landscaping and views are breathtaking. The owners were so helpful in their suggestions and assistance before and during our vacation. How relaxing and peaceful it was for us all!

My wife and I stayed at Idyll Dreams for a week during a recent trip to Nevis. We were amazed by the house the moment we arrived. The pictures and description of the house do not do it justice. It's beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and leaves you wanting nothing. We were met at the car ferry by the owners agent and taken to the villa as pre-arranged; everything went according to plan. The owners had taken care of all of the details including sending us a ferry schedule to ensure that we were in the right place at the right time. They even suggested places to go while on the island. They provide each guest with a very detailed and informative booklet about the house and the island that covered all of our questions. Back to the house; it is truly incredible and very comfortable. All of the rooms are quite large and spacious; you get a fair amount of exercise just walking from the master bathroom to the kitchen. Your every want and need is taken care of. Entertainment is available throughout the house (there are 3 TVs and a great stereo with plenty of movies and CDs). Not that you'll want to sit around watching TV but we plugged our iPod into the stereo and we could listen to music while we were on the pool deck and anywhere else in the house. The pool deck and gazebo are wonderful areas for having your morning coffee and evening cocktails (as well as a candle-lit dinner) and the view of the ocean and neighboring St. Kitts is great. The gardens around the property are beautifully maintained and the local monkeys play in them for your entertainment. There are other homes in the area but your privacy is never bothered. The only drawback to the house is that you'll never want to leave it. But you have to leave or you'll miss one of the most unspoiled islands in the Caribbean. Nevis will take you back in time to when life was slower and much more carefree. You will usually have the beaches to yourselves unless you go to one associated with a resort. We particularly liked Herbert's, Paradise, Lovers and Black Sand beaches. The local restaurants are very good and very reasonable. Try Sunshine's or Oaulie Beach for a great lunch or if you want something really special go to Golden Rock. Do yourself a favor and spend a week or two at Idyll Dreams.

We just returned from a week long vacation at Idyll Dreams with our two adult daughters. What an amazingly beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The house is beautifully appointed ,complete with a well stocked kitchen, books, videos and WiFI. The pool and view of St Kitts are breathtaking. The large yard is nicely landscaped with many flowering plants. We enjoyed exploring Nevis, it's beaches, plantations and wonderful restaurants. A highlight was a sailing/snorkel charter. We always loved returning to Idyll Dreams- In fact some days we never even left! The owners were very helpful and easy to deal with, answering all our questions. We hope to return again soon.

We stayed at Idyll Dreams for a week and wished we had booked for a month. The view was exceedingly beautiful. The villa was wonderful including the comfortable bed and nice linens. Everything you need is provided. You don't need a checked bag-just bring casual clothes and kick back. We explored the plantations, hiked, swam and never had a bad meal. The owners were helpful and nice.

Four of us (2 couples) stayed at this beautifully furnished villa on the mountainside of Nevis. It is a perfect design for 2 couples with master bedroom suites. The owners were wonderful to work with and extremely helpful. The villa is actually much nicer than the photos depict. The drive up there is an interesting one, but it is really worth it for the unbelievable views. The infinity pool is just breathless and the gardens (monkeys included) are just amazing to see. The screened lanai and back porch are an added touch that made for very peaceful mornings and evenings. The fully-equipped kitchen made if difficult to leave for lunches or dinners, but Nevis has so much to appreciate and offer that we managed every day to explore the island. The people are very friendly and helpful with local information and directions, although it is very easy to get around the island. We enjoyed lounging at the uncrowded beaches, and Pinney's was our favorite for sunset. Our daily stop for either food or drinks was at Lime Cafe, and it never disappointed. We also enjoyed Golden Rock for the glorious views and lobster sandwich, Sunshine's for beach fun and games, and Gallipot for a different view of the island. Nevis is a very unique experience for it is very different than most places in the Caribbean. It is very laid back, relaxing and not your typical "tourist trap". We hope to return to this friendly, lovely place in the future.

We (two couples) had a wonderful time at this beautiful villa on the mountainside. You definitely need a high profile type vehicle, but once you arrive you will agree that the trip was worth it! The view is absolutely stunning, and the gardens one of the best on the island. The pictures are quite accurate, and actually understate the elegance of this home. We spent our days lounging around the lovely pool or journeying about the island (Pinney's Beach and Lime Cafe was our favorite), and our evenings playing games on the screened lanai. We enjoyed watching the monkeys scurry across the property, and the sailboats cross the narrows. We would definitely recommend this beautiful vacation villa on Nevis. We hope to return to this friendly island soon.

Idyll Dreams is truly a delight, both in terms of accommodations and owners. Mark and Bettye Ann have a beautiful home and they graciously share it and their extensive knowledge of the island with those who venture to Idyll Dreams. My fiancé and I spent two glorious weeks at Idyll Dreams last summer, and it exceeded our expectations in every regard. The house is immaculately kept, equipped with every convenience, private and so, so comfortable. Like others, we spent many hours in the beautiful infinity pool, enjoying sunrises with a fresh cup of coffee and sunsets with a cold Caribe. We would recommend renting this villa without hesitation and would return in a heartbeat. Journey to Idyll Dreams with complete confidence and prepare to leave your worries and stress behind.

My husband and I just got back from Nevis and stayed at Idyll Dreams. You could not ask for a better place to stay! We hardly ever left the villa because we were so relaxed! The views from the villa are breathtaking, including the landscaping. The pool was refreshing all day and night! You have to eat out on the veranda by candlelight! Nevis is surreal! We did not want to leave! We definitely will be back to Nevis, no question about it. We wouldn't stay at any other place than Idyll Dreams...PURE PARADISE!!!

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Dreams in September 2011 for our honeymoon. We just about died and went to heaven when we passed through the pale turquoise gates. We fell in love with Idyll Dreams and Nevis right away and before we left we were already talking about a return trip to both the island and the home. The house is absolutely beautiful from the inside out. It is spacious, wonderfully decorated in cool blues and green, with a top of the line kitchen, flat screen televisions (which we never used!), an ipod station, board games and a fantastic collection of books. The pool was by far our favorite part...our own infinity pool, the perfect temperature, looking right over the tree tops out to the sea. We took a dip every morning, every night and lots of times in between. There was not one part of Idyll Dreams and Nevis that we did not love. We found Nevis to be a charming, quaint, clean and extremely friendly island. Although we were there in the "off" season, we experienced some of the best meals we have ever eaten...ranging from grilled snapper at Sunshine's, the local beach bar, to plantain encrusted dorado at Mangos at the Four Seasons. We hiked to the top of Mount Nevis with a fantastic guide, Michael Herbert and had a much needed rest and beer at Peak Heaven upon our descent. We explored different beaches and were overwhelmed by the beautiful old churches. Nevis definitely captured our hearts and we can't wait to go back for more of the island and Idyll Dreams!!! lauren & stephen messinger

My 20 year old son and I vacationed at Idyll Dreams in May. The photos of the property represent everything perfectly. It is an exceptional house. We didn't arrive until almost 10 pm due to some unforeseen obstacles, but once we arrived on the island of Nevis, Brenda, the house manager, was waiting for us and led us to the house, an adventure in itself, especially at night. The winding gravel path up the side of a mountain will forever be ingrained in my mind. She had breakfast groceries for us for the morning although we had them as soon as we got in that night. The house is beautiful. It is everything one could want. The seafoam tropical color of the house exudes tranquility which is what I was looking for. There are books and games, cable and internet for those days of just wanting to hang at the house. The views are outstanding, the monkeys in the yard are charming, the infinity pool was exceptionally refreshing after climbing Mt. Nevis. There is a hike right outside your door to an old plantation to gear you up for the hike up the mountain. Make a trip to the Botanical Gardens, it is well worth it. You will find that the owners have left a very detailed list of things to do, beaches to go to and restaurants to visit (even with their favorite menu items listed). The people of the island are very friendly, but be advised...."liming" is a way of life on this beautiful island paradise and if you plan on doing any guided diving or snorkeling make your plans ahead of time and before Friday. It seems Friday is part of the weekend and the beginning of a 3 day "limed" weekend. I wish we could adopt the same philosophy here in the states!!! Should I ever find myself returning to Nevis you can bet it will be at Idyll Dreams!!!!!
